When installing Winx DVDripper over an existing version of the program, it will try and use the old registration first(time limited and not eligible for upgrades).
Should there be no way of entering today's new code, please uninstall the program and do a fresh install.
Also make sure the program is allowed to connect to the registration server of Digiarty,if necessary.Posted 11 years ago # -
I have just installed Winx DVDRipper Platinum and went to the webpage given in the readme file, which told me the programme was activated. On using the programme, I was told it was a trial only and to register for the full product.
I cannot find anywhere in the readme with a passkey/password to register. Am I missing something?
Thanks for any help.Posted 11 years ago # -

Unless this page doesn't display like it should at your end,there should be a "get register code" button on the left.
When pressing it you should get a popup displaying the license code.
If not, try using an alternate browser or allow this pop up once in IE.--------
@Graylox,this one went straight into the bin :)The filters don't like links to DVD rippers ;)
Got it out of the bin.

For today's GOTD from Winx [Digiarty]...
1) perhaps click on the link for the app's homepage given on the GOTD download page. [Same as Robert posted I believe]
2) check the user folders for a folder of the same name as the app [WinX DVD Ripper Platinum], then rename it or delete it, install &/or register.
In case it helps, the app WinX_DVD_Ripper_Platinum.exe is v. 6.9.2.0 dated 9/17/2012 if you want to compare with what you've already installed.

Thanks for that Robert. Got the code. Checked it again and for some reason that page just says 'software activated' at the top when I go to it.
Thanks for the help.

For today's giveaway, 25 Clips, I'm not getting the "Successfully Activated" page on the GOTD site, and the install log (in the program's directory) shows the message:
Could not Self-Register: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Apigid32.dll
Self-Register: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Msvbvm50.dllWhen starting up the program, looking under the Help/About section shows program name, version number (1.4), and copyright notice. Nothing about its being either a trial version or a registered version. I see from the vendor site that the trial version will only do 200 clips, so I guess I could just do a whole lotta clipping, and see if it stops working...
Ah, well, looks like we have 2 days to get it sorted, so if anybody knows what's going on, please let me know.
Thanks, all.

@Delilah
To add to the confusion:also,over here parts of today's setup wrapper (1600kb) ánd the 25clips setup (552kb) somehow are still running in memory when done. (?)But the good news is the program is registered. :)
(The trial version shows "Evaluation Copy Uses Remaining 200" in the main menu).Apigid32.dll seems to be is a standard Windows DLL and does not need to be registered.

@Robert
Yes, I had 2 instances of setup.exe still running after installation.
And I can't figure out how to see/access more than the last 5 clips... guess that problem belongs on the giveaway page.
Fortunately I had no problem registering WinX DVD Ripper, tho.EDIT: I just saw your revised post, with the news that 25 Clips is registered. Thanks!
