The site for today's GOTD, AgataSoft ShutDown Pro, is initially blocked by McAfee's Site Adviser, with an yellow rating.
I'm not knocking Site Adviser, nor saying that site is safe or that it isn't -- just wanted to add a bit of a reality check... VLC is perhaps the most downloaded, most used free media player in existence -- Sourceforge is perhaps the world's leading repository for open source software projects -- yesterday downloading the latest VLC, Site Adviser blocked that page with a red level warning. It's not the 1st time -- I'm sure it won't be the last.
I'm not sure how McAfee does their ratings -- I've looked in the past & found no hard & fast data. The odds IMO are overwhelming that yesterday I encountered a false positive from Site Adviser -- to me that proves it's not 100% reliable.
IOW if anyone gets similar warnings about AgataSoft's site, use your own judgement as always, but please be aware these sorts of warnings can be & often are plain wrong.
