One of their daily deals today (Tuesday) is Dominions 4. This is one of my favorite games and it is 75% off ($8.74). This is pretty new, but I am playing it now and played Dominions 3 (which was very similar) previously. It would probably be at the top of my list of "stranded on a desert island" games as it is verydeep.
Anyone considering this should be aware that the developers focused on gameplay rather than graphics as they are sort of "old school." The game itself has elements of fantasy Civilization or Total War. You develop conquer and develop provinces and use them to build armies with leaders (captains, wizards, priests, monsters, etc.). The armies fight in a style reminiscent of Gratuitous Space Battles. You set them up in a formation before battle and then have no direct control during the battle.

Oh yeah, this is a rogue style game in that it only has one save slot. I created a simple batch program to make backups of the save whenever I want and sometimes I use it. Backups are useful for when I want to experiment. If anyone needs help with how to do this I would be glad to share, but frequent use will negate some of the decision making tension.
