Giveaway of the Day Forums

   I believe I downloaded and activated the above program when you offered it as a GiveAway of the Day. Today I when and updated the program do to a new release today and now I am getting a message that I am not registered.
   Do the GiveAways of the Day only work for that release and no later updates?

   Yes.

   The readmes always state that there are no updates or technical support on any product.

   Thanks for your reply. Looks as though I will have to delete as I used Win XP restore and even though it has brought up the old on where it shows it is licensed to GiveAway of the day it no longer allows me to put my name in as licence owner and no longer works correctly.

   Is there anyway around other than unloading?

   One other way I can think of that would allow you to put your name in as the license owner, is by purchasing the software. Then you could run the new update also.

   Or you could be very lucky to find the previous version of the software on another download site, and install that. It might work. But no guarantees on that one.

   There is a free version of Avir Task Manager available. You can download it HERE . You can see the differences between the version we got and the free one.

   Also Avir tend to give their product away fairly regularly, so if you can't afford to purchase a full license don't despair. There will be an opportunity to get it free again sometime in the not to distant future.

   I hope the free version is okay. The downside to not having the commercial version 'v' the free version is; the free verson doesn't include information on running programs, services etc and there's no memory optimization. If you downloded the recent Ashampoo Core Tuner, that takes care of the latter omission and you can always Google a process if you want to find out more.

   Also theres no monitoring temperatures of CPU cores and external USB HDD's which can ge useful especially if your present program doesn't include externals like mine doesn't (I think) I use Hard Disc Sentinel. Not got any externals plugged in at the mo so can't confirm that.

   Portable AnVir Task Manager Free. I run this one only when I am not on the net firewall say it's trying to get out all the time look just as good it say you not get
