My Capsa Pro 7 (Giveaway of last 10/04) expired today on two of my computers (not connected, not same site, not same domain) ...
Is-it a bug or a "feature" ?

Hi and welcome to the forums BDKnut.
Thanks for your message.
You are the first user who reports this bug.
It shouldn't be a "feature" for sure, when several users have the same problem, the GOTD project team will get back to the developer.
As I didn't install this software, I can't say anything about it.

EDIT:
Had a look at the comments and saw 2 more reports like yours.
I'll forward your post to the GOTD project team.
Giveaways are usually not allowed to be updated. Make sure that you turned off automatic updates if there is such an option or you did not attempt to update your copy by any means including programs that might update your software for you. Unfortunately, some programs come with an automatic update option that is turned on by the developers. If you don't catch the fact that this option is turned on and the software updates itself automatically, you are basically out of luck. I can't say for sure this is what happened because I didn't install the giveaway but your situation kind of sounds like it might have.
I don't know if this was a scam from colasoft but mine expired as well. One system is not hooked up to the internet so updates was not an option.
This program worked reasonably well on my WinXP SP3 machine for 5 days. The only problem that vexed me was after installation, my hibernate function wouldn’t work. The program’s “stop” button had to be clicked and then my machine would hibernate. Then on the 5th day, the serial number license, given by ColaSoft from their website, especially for GOTD followers, expired.
BEWARE! This is very non-standard behavior for any GOTD program. Did the original company change their mind? Has there been some misunderstanding? There are at least two other recent comments that appear to be having the same problem. GOTD! What is happening?
I am having exactly the same issue.
What happens in this instance? Is giveawayoftheday contacting Capsa?
No answer from Capsa support, after an email yesterday, for which I received a return saying, in chinese I guess, that the mail was received OK ...
Not a very important problem at the end, I'm going to unistall the software and end of the trouble !!!
GOTD, keep the good work !!!

CAPSA PRO FIXED -- An email was sent to support@colasoft.com explaining the licensing issue. An answer was received 5 hours later saying "please try to reactivate (the program) again". I'd already done that 5 times after the problem happened but this time it worked. ColaSoft did something because the license number was the same as in the READ.ME from the GOTD download. I'd guess others with this problem should try restarting the program again also.
Like MennJiJo has said, reactivating Capsa Pro does work.

Yes, It works ...
I'm not going to uninstall, yet.
Thank you Capsa & GOTD

Yep all working. Thanks muchly
That is my reservation to this type of DRM - at the press of a button, the developer can just "turn off" everyones software (or more likely the developer would have the error described as "computer error" rather than "human error".
Or if the company went out of business or decided to sell out to another company / another domain - the new owner can just "disable" everyones software license - even just through no longer supporting the software or not renewing their internet domain.
It is a big risk if you are thinking of purchasing a software suite (or having a business rely on it) when your ability to continue operation is entirely in the hands of somebody else (or connectivity to their internet domain).
For platforms such as "Steam" you might still have the option going back to the original game developer to restore your access (perhaps providing a non-drm version). When it is a software company providing important business software - purchase decisions should incorporate some level of risk analysis.
