I've noted the fix (removal of the one file) for day 17. I had an odd case for day 16. There's only one "scene" for that level and you have to find 20 things in about 2 minutes. My first time through, I got 19 but there wasn't a 20th one listed. If I clicked for a help, it was off the screen to the lower right (under the "Diary" button). I timed out several times on purpose to get a fresh set of items to check of on that level. On the 3rd or 4th try, I actually got 20 viewable items. By that time, I'd seen enough things that it was pretty easy to get through.
It's a good thing it's randomly generated or I would not be able to continue!
Something to note - if you find something similar - just keep re-trying until you get a set you can USE!
