It seems to me that some of the games in this bundle have already been included in previous bundles (though not just from the Humble Bundle) e.g. Aquaria & Crayon Physics

Haha, stupid me. I decided to pre-order the bundle when they announced it last week, then responded to my email that arrived a couple of hours ago with a second purchase as I'd forgotten I'd already pre-ordered it. Ah well, more money down the drain.

WR, I agree with Jack. Indie Royale has a pre-order process, but I don't think you can pre-order the Humble Bundle. However, it has been out for over a week now so I imagine you just ordered it when it first came out and then re-ordered when the latest message about DoD arrived. Hopefully you didn't spend too much and there are some good games so perhaps you can get your money's worth even if you did pay more than you needed to pay.

Yes I did, it was supposed to be in the Indie Royale thread. Got some stuff on my mind at the moment and and dead tired as well. I contacted the Indie Royale guys (and gals) about the pre-order and was told that they had basically messed things up and would be contacting all those that had pre-ordered ASAP. I still haven't received any news about my pre-order. Oh yeah, they then went on to thank me for purchasing the package twice, lol.

Yes, I already had all five games. In fact of all of the bundles that have been on offer over the last year I think I've only gained about five games as I already had the rest either on steam or via other means. I'm a firm believer in supporting the Indie movement. For me arcade games were becoming very stale with genres such as HOG's, TM games and match threes (and even my favorite arcade genres shmups and breakouts) being released in unbelievable numbers over the past several years. Some are excellent, but the majority are just not very good. The Indie movement has invigorated the arcade game scene big time over the past several years. Many of those developers are working from home with very low budgets (or none at all) yet come up with some superb games.
The small development houses for example Dejobaan games – AaaAAaaAA: A Reckless disregard for Gravity, 2DBoy – World of Goo and Markus Persson - Minecraft have brought some amazing games to us over the past couple of years. I don't mind spending a little more because I think the cost of most of those games are ridiculously low even when paying full price, especially when you consider the entertainment value that you'll get out of them. Also it was only four years ago that all arcade games cost almost $20 a piece no matter what the quality was like.
Please do support these developers. The more you give, the better games we will see in the future. :)

It looks like I'm going to have to stop purchasing Indie games when they are released or even when they are on a deal on Steam if these humble bundles carry on the way they do. Unfortunately I have every one of the games mentioned. They are all fantastic games and even if you only paid $5 each one of these games is worth more than $5 alone, so this is an amazing bargain. There's a wide variety of genres included, so you are bound to find something that will keep your interest. What a great Christmas present this would make. :)
If you like Gratuitous space battles there are several DLC's that you can purchase via Steam, though you'll end up paying much more than the average that most will pay for the humble bundle.
They made over a million in less than 24 hour. WOW!
