I think this is the only "shooter" I like and would play with my grand-kids (they have to explain it to me...)

Thanks graylox. I wondered if they were really only going to have a single game in alpha. Of course Minecraft was pretty awesome at that point.

Blocks That Matter looks pretty interesting to me. Not sure about TBoI. My reflexes aren't as quick as they used to be, the game sounds and looks a little odd, and I understand it is fairly hardcore. Voxatron looks a little more interesting with the building aspects, but it is also seems to be a top down shooter. Wish they had a way to try it for an hour or two as a demo. I might be willing to pay more for it if I could try it and liked it.

Do you have any comments about your experience with these games. Off to try the demo of BTM.

The binding of Isaac was created by the developer of Gish and Super Meat Boy. The game looks quite simple, but becomes increasingly complex as you work through the levels, well.... as complex as a shooter can become. You can tell the artist is the same as the one that did both of the mentioned prequels. I’ve enjoyed playing it so far. Blocks that Matter is also a decent game. You can check both out via Steam;

Typically I've already purchased both of these games on Steam so the Steam key is useless as it says I can't gift them.

I've already more or less stopped pre-ordering most games (apart from those that are likely to hold their prices like Skyrim and modern Warfare 3) so that I can take advantage of the deals that appear within several weeks of most releases; for example Bastion was only released back in August yet is already 50% off till Thursday evening, and Dead Island (that's about 7 weeks post release) had 25% off over the Halloween sale. :)

Thanks WR. I just went ahead and bought it even though I am not big on top down shooters. Didn't pay as much for them, but did pay more than the minimum to get them. I do appreciate the efforts by independent developers to do something a little different (or odd as is probably the case with TBoI). I did play Blocks That Matter for a little while and enjoyed working out the puzzles it presents.

They broke $500,000.00 in just over 48 hours. Up to $601,003.97 now. Still got 10 days to go. Wonder how high will it go this time.

That's brilliant news. The more money these bundles make the more developers will want to add their games to a bundle. For me I tend to have already purchased most of the decent games already but still contribute a little just for the support.

Aquaria is a great game; very psychedelic. If you love Aquaria theres two more games that are similar:

Glowfish which was released back in late September and Undergarden released about this time last year.

All three games in this bundle are fantastic. All are simple to play but are fiendishly difficult at times.

I do have some issues trying to create stuff in the Voxatron editor but that's probably just me !! lol

Humble Bundle have another winner for Child's Play and EFF !

@Wrascally Wabbit, thanks will keep my eye out for them. Sorta like Saturated Dreamers | Dream Well - http://studioeres.com/saturated/ I am a beta tester for it. It all under water in a lake. Very environmental friendly . You try to make friends with the creatures or at least not hurt them or their environment. Made by the same developer of Immortal Defense. Paul Eres.

I've got to say, Gish is one of my all time favorite indie games. I've played many an pleasant hour with Gish. There are custom made levels that can be downloaded from the developers site and you can make your own levels with the fairly easy to use levels editor. There isn't a good help file included, but as I said it's fairly easy to use. (I was going to write up a decent help file for the levels editor, but life got in the way. i still have the preparatory material such as images of the varios blocks and a basic structure to what I'd perceived as a good way to approach the help document. The Addition of Gish makes this pack a must have for any arcade fan. :)

I must have purchased Gish at least five times now with it being included in a previous bundle as well as bundled in one of the Steam deals from last Christmas I'd already purchased it via Steam and originally purchased it from Reflexive arcade shortly after it was released. I don't mind such excesses as it supports the developer (whose style I really love)

The first image shows an arena fight the next three parts of the main game. You can change Gish’s properties so that he bounces, sticks to walls or squashes (to get through small tunnels etc). You can find the Gish forums [b[]HERE[/b] where you’ll find download links for some free levels for both modes that are included in game (The main platform game and the arena game). you'll need to find the section specific to Gish, which is easy enough, then trawl through several pages of forum topics. you may even come across some of my posts that I posted back in 2006.
