Hi Spacepixie,
You can find Robbie for free (Full version!) at MyPlayCity http://www.myplaycity.com/robbie/. Avoid any other download sites, as either they don't work, install unwanted toolbars or are BigFish trial versions.
For those who don't know the game:- Robbie - Unforgettable Adventures 28.1Mb arcade platform - is basically a Pacman clone, but very good fun, all the same!
You can find a full review by Whiterabbit from when it was a game giveaway HERE
Robbie is an adventurous (and smart!) robot who has to explore other planets to find minerals exhausted from his own planet. In saving his friends and family he will encounter various dangerous creatures and add to his inventory. It's a very child-friendly game played with the mouse and left mouse button. It plays in simulated 3D (actually 2D) and you just hold the mouse button and move the mouse in the direction you want Robbie to move.
There are various mazes to traverse, with obstacles blocking some paths, and the enemy creatures move on set paths only, making them a little easier to avoid. There are coin bonuses to collect if you collect enough minerals in time, before heading for the exit. You can move to the 'displayed' exit to the next level when you have collected most of the mineral gems, but need to collect all of the gems to be able to go for the timed coin bonus collections. Click on Play before trying to move Robbie on what is actually the level map screen to get to the game proper. It's great fun, and a really good game for the children (all ages up to 90 or 100+) to play!
The MyPlayCity full version works fine in Win 7 x32, so should work without any problems in Vista and XP.
All the proper MyPlayCity version does is display a very short advert on loading the game and open a browser to the MyPlayCity site on exiting the game. (which in my opinion are both very well worth putting up with to get the full game for free!)
Glad MyPlayCity have this as an (excellent!) freebie now! :)
So basically you can now get both games totally for free. :) Yeahhhhh!
