I don't have my notes etc. still on my hard drive for that GOTD, but if you wanted you could go back to the comments on that page where I posted that info. From memory, there are two parts to the keylogger -- 1 was the actual keylogger, & the other was a driver that hid all the files etc. in 32 bit Windows. That driver was started with Windows, but it doesn't use the usual Run keys or anything -- you had to use Autoruns [microsoft.com] to disable it -- I think there were two files visible in Autoruns, 1 being the driver & 1 being for the keylogger itself. After disabling & re-start you should see the uninstall app in the program's folder, &/or you could just delete the 2 folders -- sorry but I don't remember what the registry keys were, or anything else really.
AFAIK one difference between Ultimate Keylogger & malware was that malware might hide the stuff that autostarts everything, perhaps in the 1st track [MBR] of the boot drive. Since the GOTD doesn't do that, Ultimate Keylogger's 2 folders should also be visible (so you can delete them) if you boot to some other OS, e.g. most any sort of boot disc or bootable USB device, including the command line repair booting from your Windows install disc. Again sorry, I can't remember at the moment just where those two folders were located -- it was in the Docs & Settings folder in XP but that's all I recall this morning.
