1AV Capture is among other things a VB [Visual Basic] app. That means it's the app itself that could be broken or it might be the VB supporting files you've got installed in Windows.
RE: VB...
You might have uninstalled an app, moved, or renamed a folder that contained one or more files VB needs. All those VB files should be installed to Windows system folder, but devs don't always follow rules. Google for the vb runtime & follow links to the latest at microsoft.com -- the catch is downloading/installing the VB6 runtime setup *might* break other, older VB apps you've installed, mainly if they don't work with latest versions of those files. If you do install the runtime, don't forget to check Microsoft's update.
RE: the app itself...
If you still have it you could try running setup.exe again. If not, I don't know what if any differences there are between the trial you download today vs. the GOTD version, but if it won't work as is, I suppose there's nothing to lose by trying. Back up the registry though in case installation over-writes the key inserted by running Activate.exe.
If it makes any difference on whether you try fixing it or uninstall, I recorded: "6535 registry entries added". You're not going to get rid of them all. :-( IMHO you already paid a high price.
