This was given away last spring and is still available – neither it nor the paid version of HDM 17 have been updated since, AFAIK. It allows you to work with partitions, though I prefer the AOMEI app, and lets you do disk/partition image backup & restore, though I prefer Macrium Reflect. Why bother with Paragon then?... If you don’t like the alternatives, it does work, plus Paragon HDM will let you back up USB sticks & memory cards [using a reader], which Macrium Reflect will Not able to do until the upcoming v. 8 is released. That’s why I still use Paragon HDM 17 Advanced [paid] – most of the software on my tablets is stored on microSD cards.

The free 25th Anniversary edition is a reduced feature version of their HDM 17 Advanced. It’s got what’s intended to be a simplified interface, which means real world that you’ll spend time hunting & reading the manual to figure things out. It’s also balky [can’t find a better word for it], with a delay almost every time you click on something, and often showing “not responding” on the Title Bar [that goes away once the software completes whatever it's doing]. If you opt for the paid version [Advanced], you can also create more advanced bootable USB sticks with repair utilities, e.g. for repairing Windows boot loader files. [You also get those with the paid version of Macrium Reflect.]

A *maybe* problem, or at least something to note, Paragon HDM backup archives don’t seem to be compatible across versions. That isn’t a problem of course if that’s all you use, and you can create backup archives in the Windows .vhd [Virtual Hard Disc] format to give you more options [.vhd files can be mounted as hard disc partitions in Windows].

A final note: Paragon is a little bit like Ashampoo – once you log in you can download any apps you’ve registered in the past, as well as *sometimes* getting decent upgrade pricing.
