I have been salivating over Flame Painter for quite some time now. I got Amberlight 2 about a year ago from Escape Motions as one of the prizes in an art contest for my appropriate placement in the standings. I have been enjoying using it in my art ever since. I learned of Flame Painter through my contact with Escape Motions while claiming my prize. Immediately I knew it would be an awesome art program, because Amberlight 2 is an awesome program. Both of these applications are now on my Start Menu side by side! I shall enjoy using both for a long time to come! Thank you Escape Motions, and GAOTD for this awesome program! An instant treasure for sure!

My problem is different I think. I received both the promo and registration code the installed. Nothing showed up to enter reg. code as the program began. Could not find any link to enter reg. code.. checked help/about.. claimed it was registered to me (my email address0 but i never manually entered the registration code. Tried contacting the site but afraid time will elapse before receiving any info.. Would like to know f the program s actually registered even though no reg. was entered. Quick reply before offer closes please.

Yes, the download and registration process seemed a bit confusing at first, but I simply followed the directions precisely, step-by-step, as provided, and was able to download and register it without any issues. I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with this software, and maybe even create some art worth saving! Thank you, GAOTD and Escape Motions.

I do not see how to get the other brushes to work. I have put the PNG images in the correct folder (easy enough to do albeit time consuming) but these new brushes do not show up in the program. The only brushes I see are the ones which came with the program.

Tried a reboot to see if that could make the show up but that failed too.

So does anybody know how to get the brushes to load so you can actually use them?

This looks like it'll be a keeper, although it won't be for everyone. If you're expecting a full paint package then look elsewhere.
But for flame effects this looks perfect, and ideal for adding to existing art.

I've tried using three different email addresses and none of them ever get registration details. Oh well.

Does not scale well on a 3200 x 1800 display. It's so small it's virtualy useless.

I have downloaded this Flame Painter program, got the code and entered it 3 times to get the registration key...NO KEY. I turned off my Aast and I have had no trouble getting previous programs. I am using win 8.1. Pleas help and send the Key to my email: leslieunmoody@hotmail.com.

Any ideas if I get an error message: "Access Denied" when I try to do the Set-up? I already have the Registration # and have tried the download twice--once from GOTD's site and once from the Escape Motions site, after entering my Registration Key (using Copy/Paste). I had no problems receiving the Promo Code or Registration Key, just can't get the program to work.

Problem solved. It was a browser issue. I got the code and it installed and registered fine. After all the great software I have gotten from GOTD this was the first problem and it was on my end. Thanks for all the good stuff!

Well I guess they run out of giveaways maybe, as I did receive the promotional code but not the activation key. Althought I did exactly what the read me asked. Really would have liked to try this software before buying.

Re the comment made by #23 (muggles) there is no denying that he/she is entitled to express an opinion, but bugs me is that I have posted comments in the past without the use of profanities and they have been deleted because the moderator obviously didn't like I had something to say that wasn't to their liking ... So can the moderator or anyone from GOTD explain why Muggles' comment was allowed. Seems to be double standards at play here.

OOOOOoooo !!! What a fantastic program to get as a FREEBIE !!! I bought this, and also Amberlite several years ago, when I did a lot of computer graphics. The products are wonderful, and have truly endless possibilities. The customer service is also great... or at least it certainly was when I bought. I would say that any creative person, who enjoys graphics, would love this, and by all means, should grab it today. I am most thankful to have another copy for my laptop. All things are great from EscapeMotions. THANKS !!!!!!!

Skip. If you are willing to learn this software - you should be willing to learn photoshop. It is also much cheaper.

Downloaded and installed with absolutely no issues whatsoever. It's pretty simple when you actually use the README file that's included. It provides step-by-step instructions to get the code and install the program.

Did a few quick checks on this program and, I must say, I think that this will give a new dimension to some of my graphics. I am no artist by any stretch of the imagination. So this is quite a boon to me in making some of my photos a bit more interesting.

Again, open the README file before even running the SETUP file and you will have everything you need to get the installation to run smoothly.

Downloaded and registered okay without problems. Even installed the free brushes on the program's site easily by drop and dragging onto the open program. It takes just a moment for the brushes folder to show that the new brush in now installed. Not just flame effects but wonderful fantasy styles can be created.
However, it is the pro version that is needed to be able to sell the work that is created with the brushes.

"We are sorry but your registration appears to be invalid" What does that mean. I did this 3 times and get the same response. Also, why is it necessary to make the registration so small that you need a magnifying glass to see it? I wasted a half hour and I got nothing. The registration process is a clue to how good or bad the actual program is that I never got to see. Looks like others are having the same registration problems.

This Personal edition is too limited and the Pro is too expensive. Seriously, $90 for drawing flames?

I bought this program after trying it the last time it came up for free, being very impressed by it.
However, I now find myself somewhat miffed to discover that v3.2 is being given away for free, whilst I have not been given any opportunity or ability to upgrade from v.3.1.0!

Flame Painter 3 is an excellent graphic package that will complement several other graphics packages I've either purchased or received free from here or elsewhere over the last several years. Once you've installed the program and followed the second link to get your registration code (you need the promotional code received via the giveaway link first). You can then access almost 250 extra brush styles via the link provided on the page where you find the activation code and email you used; (found via the second link once you receive the activation code). I'd also recommend downloading the executable from the link provided on the same page as the activation code because you get both the 32 and 64 bit executable versions of Flame Painter 3, whereas it's not clear which version you get with the giveaway executable that's downloaded from the giveaway site.

You can get the free extra brushes HERE. Just drag and drop each brush into the brushes folder (it does say you can drop them directly into the open program but that wouldn't work for me. Opening up the installed programs folder (default location C:\Program files\Flame Painter 3\) then drag and dropping each one into the brushes folder worked perfectly. I was only able to select one brush at a time, so it did take several minutes to transfer all of the brushes, but it was worth the effort becasue many of the free brushes looked amazing.

I'm really looking forwards to messing around with this program. A big thank you to the developer Escape Motions for giving away this version. I would love the Pro version, but there's no way I could justify buying at full price as I don't do anything constructive with them; just mess around/play with these programs. I purchased one of their other programs Amberlight 2 a few years ago via BDJ (discount offer no longer live, but it's still much cheaper than directly from Escape Motions, when it was 75% off the full price).

I would love to see Rebelle given away here sometime in the near future as unfortunately I can't justify paying almost $100 for it at the moment, especially as I only use such programs for personal use/messing around. I've never really created a work of art yet :(

This is a fun and potentially useful tool especially if you are producing artwork now and then. Oddly, a few months back I needed to draw flames. Really wish i had this tool then. It's a must-have in your tool box.

Was tricky to get the promo code and then the registration, so suggest others use (highlight website address in readme instructions) right click, copy, then paste into the page that comes up.

After that, installed AOK! I look forward to using it.

I am a "creative" photographer having the motto: "No Good Photo Shall Go Unmolested." This addition to my tool kit is great,. Yes I have similar brushes, but this is heads and shoulders above what I have.

Registration a bit of a dance; perhaps to sort out those with poor reading comprehension, but So! To Bad. I had no problems ... just follow directions.

Question.... aaaa.... did I miss reading the usual upgrade deal?? Or was there not offer to upgrade to Pro?

Great piece of code for artists to edit images using different flame brushes or even create new photos from scratch, by specifying its dimensions and safe boundary, selecting the color for the background layer, as well as altering DPI.

Registration key says invalid no matter how I do it manual or copy/paste.Also support page says if box is red entering too many letters/numbers and no matter how many letters/numbers I use of the code they gave me the box stays red.So I give up bedtime lol
