It is in no ways secure, the web server does not implement any variant of https SSL/TLS protocols all transfers are done in the clear plaintext so everything can be observed and intercepted undetected by man in the middle attacks.

Please do not ever do this with such an insecure server, because the connection is unencrypted the authentication is also sent unencrypted and can be easily intercepted especially if done via an open access wifi network such as an internet cafe or store or town wifi system by a malicious 3rd party in range.
At best this should be restrained to a LAN Local Area Network but even then a SMB based file sharing system that is automatically encrypted would be a better option.
