This program is amazing! I love it.
On Windows 11 whatever bit, not sure about that.
Installs easily, getting key is easy, all in all it's a very simple program that does just what it says it does.
It's easy to use, fast, and does just what it says.
I grabbed it the first time they gave it away and am amazed with it.
For those who already have it installed, just follow the readme to get the key and use that in what you already have. It'll reset you to another year for free.
Highly recommend this program.

At the time I write this there are 17% thumbs down votes, and I sure don't understand why. I downloaded this, installed, and ran easily. It's speedy and intuitive. I've tested about 40 downloads in a long list of URLs, and this has functioned flawlessy. I love that you don't really have to copy and paste the URLs - I mean, you do have to copy the URL but you can select for it to automatically add, and it does so perfectly. This is definitely a keeper. I'd love to know why there are so many negative votes. Am I missing something or are there just a lot of "debby downers" out there?

I currently use Fast Video Downloader because it works great and is easy to navigate. Question I have is my current license has 114 left on it. IF I download and install todays giveawayoftheday, WILL FVD ADD 1-year to my current license or change it back to 365 days left (1-year)?
Also, will this download keep the settings that I already have saved in my current install of Fast Video Downloader?

It resets it to one year. Setting should remain as you don't even need to reinstall the program.

Dan B, you get a fully-functional version for 366 days from today on, as per the license email you received. Time is not added to current licenses. The old license will simply be overwritten.
As for the settings, if you install the new version over the old one, nothing should change.

Can this be used to download video content from Amazon Prime?

Marty, services like Prime usually have a stream that first requires a log in to their service. After that they send broadcast the video in 'chunks'. To copy such one generally needs to record from the screen..... (play it on a computer and record the computer monitor.) I do not know if ANY software offered for sale to the public will download a streaming service. It would, imo, violate copywrite laws.

Hott, It's the old VCR argument. Recording for personal use might not violate copyright but could violate terms of service. It's usually the distribution of the material that they're concerned with, not the personal recording.

Lizardeyes80, Ditto that, I have used StreamFab in the past, but it is expensive. Depends on how important the movie is, I guess. You still need to subscribe to Amazon Prime to get logged into the movie, so you have to pay for Amazon Prime and StreamFab. Usually, not worth the cost, in my experience.

This software from fastpctools works well on a bunch of different sites. It's fast and easy to use. The reason I deleted it? The nagging you get to buy it for a lifetime and other fastpctools goodies. Even when it's not open, it will pop open on it's own to nag you and I may be doing something a little more important on the computer, than getting bombed with a sales pitch at any given time. If you can live with it's nagging, then downloaded and use it, because it does work well!
