Impossible to install! Gets a message that it is activated but no program present?

Well, I downloaded with no trouble at all, and it doesn't even need activation so smooth as anything there. The program seems very easy to use... except it's only finding less than half the pages in the front folder of the website. I can understand if it needs to be told to search sub-folders but shouldn't it at least find all of the pages within the www. of the site? If it's that I'm doing something wrong, I would love to hear from the developer. Otherwise, it seems a fairly useless program.

Sorry guys, but I prefer to use any Open Source application.

But, what I don't like most of this company is the kind of services they sell, like this one:

"Web data extraction service, web scraping service" as explained in this Supernova's page: http://www.supernova-soft.com/web-scraping-service/

I always block this type of crawlers in my sites. Bandwidth is expensive and site developing demands loads of hard work.

Luis, although you may have mentioned hating data crawlers, they could be useful in doing research, for instance, you want to know specifically the word hits on a site related to medicine, looking for a side effect say "spasms", this will save you tons of time eye searching an 80-page website for it, or perhaps a student preparing an essay on an specific topic like "women helping men in the US civil war" throughout wikipedia.

Luis, not sure you'll check back and see this question -- but which open source application do you prefer?

The description reads "... optimized SEO." Now SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. So this code provives optimized optimization. It makes me sad, this misuse of the word optimization. If you have optimized something, it means you have reached the top. Once there, you cannot optimize anymore. You can only fall ...

krypteller, true but you can improve HOW you optimize something and so optimize the search engine optimization process itself. Both can produce the same optimal results just the optimized SEO engine might use less resources or take less time to arrive at the same optimized results.

TK, yes, you are right. In fact, in my youth I spend many hours optimizing a number of linear and non-linear optimization algorithms, programmed in Algol and FORTRAN. But as the maker of the giveaway of the day did not react, I assume his code is not optimized and it is just humbug.

krypteller, I don't think many programmers put much effort into optimizing their code nowadays... only when a glaring bug is found then maybe they'll discover a better way to do it while trying to fix the bug. I too used to spend time competing with other z80 machine code programmers to optimize for minimum T-cycle counts or byte counts, usually couldn't have both optimal speed AND optimaly small code size.

Optimized SEO is in all probability just sloppy use of the English language.
