So the "Nice" giveaway turned out to not be so nice. Installed Exiland Backup on my Windows 10 computer. It would not open. Tried and tried. Installed again over the top of previous install. Still would not open. VERY disappointing.

Sadly this does not include any built in cloud clients so one cannot safely and easily backup to common cloud services like google drive or onedrive or dropbox without having their local client installed making the backed up files visible to all running processes including ransomware processes that can then go and encrypt all your backups so they are no use toy you to recover from a ransomware attack. The ONLY ransomware proof solution with this is to host a local linux box with a large drive and an FTP/SSH set of servers on it and not enable the linux smb server by default so there is no network access by SMB to the backed up data and you can only recover via FTP/SSH clients which the ransomware won't have knowledge of.

TK, And as this is only the standard edition and not the professional it does not run as a service but as a discrete program and there are usage restrictions. And the program cannot do a system image backup only files that are not locked by being in use in other programs... The Standard edition has not been programmed to make use of VSS to allow accessing previous data of a file being held open. I'm going to pass.

CRG, you will need to disable your anti-virus as it says in the readme.txt the actual reason is not that that the anti-virus blocks the setup.exe but the themidia anti-tamper protection used by the GAOTD setup.exe/gcd package and activate.exe/gcd package detects the virtual environment the anti-virus program uses to check the programs initial activity is falsely detected as a type of virtualised hacking environment.
