After one year - does it cease to work completely - Please Clarify.

If GiveawayOfTheDay is mainly going to be providing programs that are loaned to us for 12 months, and then are taken back (cease to work completely), could I suggest you change this site's name to -

I have good news and bad news -
I wrote to the software site, and just got their reply. It does not expire after 1 year (just no more upgrades). That would have been good to know.
The bad news - The giveaway has expired.

Turned off anti-virus program, downloaded and registered with no problem. I did raise my eyebrows while reading the licensing terms. 2015?

Besides MS having a sticky note program included, which I don't use, there is a web site called pinup.com I use that is a cloud based sticky note web site. Why buy a program when there are several free apps and sites that do this functionally and are FREE

Since a user has commented that this program Efficient Sticky Notes Pro Ver5-22 cannot be used after 1 year, you can consider FREE and Portable alternatives such as:

Sticky note programs should be simple. I have used a program on all of my Windows computers over many years that surprisingly works great despite the fact it has been discontinued... ATnotes
Put it in a search engine and find a place to download it. Run it through your anti-malware if you have doubts. Small footprint and great options, I think its still the best I have ever found.Its probably so good because no one has complicated the program over the years. You won't be disappointed.

Could the vendor please clarify what "NB: The license is provided for 1 year"
actually means? Does it mean the Pro license is operational for just one year?
Or does it mean indefinate Pro features in that version but the update license is only valid for 1 years of updates? I suspect the negative votes ratio may be due to assumptions that it will cease being Pro edition after 1 year due to the declaration which may not be correct!

TK, Not sure if this helps clear it up at all but when you register with the info provided in the zip file a window pops up with the following info...

"Purchase date: 5/17/2017
Free upgrade till: 5/17/2018
Network edition license: No
Number of authorized user: 1"

krypteller, seen that but that is IF you buy it... if that was the same for this giveaway then the NB should be clarified to read something like:

"NB: This giveaway license provides free Pro updates for 1 year"

Which is a definate bonus over standard giveaway terms.

instead of the ambiguous:

"NB: The license is provided for 1 year"

Which implies an extended Pro trial license.

TK, I had this software before, it expired exactly after one year, there is no lifetime license without pay.
See how they talk about pro license for one year, but they never tell you what happens if you do not pay.

Matt, i just installed this on a Virtual Machine and registered it, then wound the date to 2019 and it still shows as Pro edition with no warnings so it looks like the 1 year license IS for updates and the Pro functionality is indefinate. I can imagine that they could alter the free android and ios apps over time to make them only sync with up to date pro versions to push pro users into updating thus needing to buy further upgrade licenses... but that would be a bit naughty.
