I prefer MalwareBytes Windows Firewall Control it enables all the bells and whistles of the Windows Firewall without the extra weight of a complete new 3rd party firewall. It's Free enables controlling outbound as well as inbound connections, Some things NEED to not be simple to be used properly. But it can be made simpl...ish updates are always free.

As installed, it will search for updates when it is launched automatically, when Windows starts. Normally, we are not allowed to update giveaways. So I switched that search for updates off.
You can let it produce a file with a lot of system information.
As I have other Abelssoft products installed, it was activated automatically.
It looks like a keeper.

No... you lose the license if you update! If it says you can update, then it's ok... but if it doesn't say anything... do not update

RustyKnight, because in order to receive updates you will need to purchase the product. They will gladly accept your money for the product purchase.

Normally updates are not included in GOTD giveaways, including lifetime licences. There are some exceptions/

RustyKnight, no free updates is part of the GAOTD boiler plate terms some vendors allow updates during an expiring license term others do not... Some even do for lifetime licenses but do not publish it because the reason they offer it is they did not invest the programming time in making a special class of lifetime license just for GAOTD giveaway to restrict them to one version and did not fancy producing a self-licensed version whose sole control mechanism was the GAOTD encrypted Themidia wrapper. I won't explain it's major weakness for obvious reasons.

gergn, often "decimal point" updates ARE allowed by GoTD offerings (though not all). Upgrading a full version number WILL require payment for the upgrade in such cases, though. So, for example, moving from v5.00 to v5.12 would be free, but moving from v5.12 to v6.xx would require payment for a new license. I haven't researched this specific offering yet, though.
