Das Programm ist der Hammer (10 Sterne). Installation ohne Problem.

Before everything- I decided to download their trial version and to give a try.
For some reason- after the download I blocked Internet. Installed fine.
When I try to run the program- I receive the next message:
"When first running this application your computer needs to connect our server. Please check your internet network connection and try again!"
No more explanations.
I have no idea what this program (installed on MY computer) has to do with their server. They don't explain either.
When I unblock Internet and try to run the program- it runs. Mean- it connects to their server without noticing me at all. Again- what they send from my computer to their server- ho knows.
Note that I am talking for their trial version, so the connection with some server is definitely NOT for activation process or so.
Tried the same procedure with their GOTD version- same behavior.
Uninstalled. If somebody wants to connect my computer with some servers- has at least to make me know why! Period!

I managed to download OK and installation asked for the code. Then it wanted to install Microsoft Visual C++2017 Redistributable (x64)- 14.16.27029>
Once up & running it fills the whole screen wit a Windows 95 looking offering which offers a lot of very basic options i.e. 1,2 3 or 4 photos to a page in differing set layouts plus a freehand tool which allows basic changes to be made. I was expecting the option to pring multiple photos (like a sheet of postage stamps for example) but no such luck.
Decided to close it and look at it later but there is NO EXIT BUTTON.
If you click on top bar it reduces the screen and exposes the 'x'in the corner and that is how you shut it down.
Hmm. Might keep but i doubt it.
I expect I could find many freebies out there far better than this.

Berger3, not sure what went wrong for you but here in Vista SP2+ patched to June 2020 rollup the GUI is reminiscent of MS OFFICE Ribbon GUI not Windows 95 and the three window control buttons are present in the normal locations in both expanded and resizable restored window layout. I do note that the top left title bar context control menu does not display but double left clicking in the top left corner above the apparently non-functional printer circular button imediatly and silently exits the program no questions asked. It can print multiple photos like postage stamps but it seems to require each stamps photo to be dragged and dropped into the template individually to fill out the template positions. You can add and edit templates as well as place photos free hand too.
When I requested it select Nitro Reader 5 PDF printer the program promptly crashes but it seems ok with me choosing the XPS and Adobe PDF printers and some others... something about the Nitro Reader 5 PDF printer it does not like. It should install and run in XP SP3 too it's not using new technologies and it is demanding admin rights to run because the developer is expecting to need to make live changes to files within its installation folder (which NO MODERN SOFTWARE SHOULD EVER EXPECT OR BE REQUIRED TO DO)
Another annoyance is if we define a layout and drag and drop a few tens of photos and then think ooops it's set the the wrong printer so one goes to printer setup button and chooses any other printer even if it has the same paper dimensions and DPI the program clears the layout that has been previously configured and one has to start again placing the photos manually or re-selcting a template and so on... not very rewarding!

Installed but wasn't working right, it said I didn't have printer drivers. Printer had been working fine before the install. Spent forever trying to get the printer working again. Uninstalled the program. Eventually, found that the connection for the printer had changed from USB to parallel port, sigh... fixed that, and now the printer works again. Not going to reinstall this software.

It might be a good program but, when is the last time I printed a photo? I'll pass.

Why does a window wants to install Microsoft Visual C++2017
Redistributable (x64)- 14.16.27029
Does it need it to work?

Pilar Escobar,
Some software created using Microsoft's tools does need additional C/C++ runtime files. And in those cases Microsoft encourages developers to include & run the setup program for those needed files. Problem is those files are usually located in separate folders in C:\ Windows\ WinSxS\, so you can accumulate dozens of the same copies of the same files -- check the size of that WinSxS folder by right clicking it & selecting properties. *Usually* if you can skip installing those runtimes you'll be OK, since you probably already have the needed runtimes installed, and if not, if the app won't run, then go ahead & install it. If you can't avoid installing the runtimes there's little you can do about it, other than thanking Microsoft for the added bloat.

Pilar Escobar, I cancelled the Visual C++ installation and the program worked fine anyway.

Easyboost Photo Print 8.5.0.3 supports Win7 and win10.
It is too much trouble to generate an exe file and deploy it into an installation package suitable for all windows operation systems.

Flood, The program should be loadable in WIndows XP SP3 and above. It installs ok under 32bit Vista SP2+ patched to June 2020 monthly rollup. I've not put it on any newer machines because by it's design and implimentation it is clear the developer has made some fundimental mistakes that I do not want to inflict on too many machines.

What I'd really like to see is a program that can convert a color image to something like a woodcut or cross hatch and dot fill for clear printing on a grey-scale black and white printer.
Save | Cancel
Mark Zinzow,
I think you can at least partially control halftone printing in the software for many laser printers. In an editor like PaintShop Pro you'd convert the image to grayscale, then apply the Effect -> Artistic -> Halftone filter -- in Photoshop it's a little bit more complicated.
Save | Cancel
mike, Thank you. I've always been very disappointed with the color to grayscale options in all the laser printers I've owned. It's has been a while since I've played with halftone filters, but I've never found one that would map each color of the original to a matching hatch or dot pattern in a way that looks good. Converting to grayscale first, reduces the ability of any algorithm to do the mapping I'd like to see.

How to register ? I loaded the program but don't see where to enter the registration number.....
Save | Cancel
Bo Davi, there should be a small registration pop-up after running the program. It has already been given away here previously in August 2018, so maybe it picked up the registration info from that giveaway if you installed and registered it back then and you don't need to enter anything again. If the program doesn't ask for registration and just loads up as is, it's already registered.
