The interface looks far from "too simple" to me hadron. Looks classy and with 1 hour to go I do not have time to review. A keeper for me. I've never had a problem installing any GOTD software so I'm confused why so many comments relate to installation problems (Win10 64 Bit)

Installed without a problem to Windows 10 Pro. Nice program to keep around. It will come in handy.

Thank you Gabriel Fernandez and GAOTD!

Many thanks for this updated version! The one that I had (v2.1.1) did not have VST plugin support, and this one does. It's clear that this software is a "labor of love" for its developer, Gabriel Fernandez, who also authors other music-related programs.

Here is the changelog page: http://www.gfsoftware.com/index.html.

Why do you delete posts that are critical with specific observations of failure in them?

I his better than the always free Audacity? I ask because Audacity does everything I want in my audio editing software, and with LMMS (also free), I can have a complete music studio.

Took one look at the interface was enough for me. It just looked a tad too simple. Adobe Audition three point something is now freeware...and is easy enough to use.

hadron, I think that the reason the interface looks a "tad too simple" is because this is software -- per its webpage -- that is "designed for average users. With it, you will be creating your own audio projects even if you never used a multi track editor or a mixer."

Aborted installation when anti-virus software popped up warning window of a PUP in the Setup.exe
But if you think it is not true, please proceed.
YMMV.
To each his own.
I never do "mixing" of audio tracks. That is not "almost never". That is 100% never.
So I guess you can say, this software is of no use to me.
In other words, it is an unnecessary risk.
I have just rescued by PC from total disaster after ignoring anti-virus security warning and trying out other dodgy software (not from Giveawayoftheday).
That malware was viciously written and even prevented normal Windows repair methodology.
Only my trusty Acronis bare metal backup + recovery saved the PC.
But this easy audio mixer may be what you are looking for.
So go ahead and risk it if you wish.
If nothing bad happens, good for you.

Easy Audio Mixer 2.3.1 is overall a great audio program. It installed easy on win. 10 and it was quick to load the sample template with tutorial. I did not follow through the tutorial as all want to do is back up cd's, cassettes, and records. The process is very straight forward. it is fairly easy to record and separate tracks. it exports music files in mp4, wav, and wmv. Licensing probably restricts it from the mp3 and any other formats. The included templates are good to enhance a lackluster capture. also, i cannot figure how to get tracks to play backwards. It is good software worth a buy. fwi

Zemana said this was malware when I tried to download :O

Reply   |   Comment by Kasseek  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+1)

Kasseek,
There's no malware with this software. No bundles, nothing.
It's a safe download.

Reply   |   Comment by Gabriel Fernandez  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

Kasseek,
according to Virustotal only one virus scanner out of 56 – Crowdstrike Falcon (ML) – detects the .exe file as suspicious (but not infected), so it’s definitely a false positive of Zemana.

I have this from an earlier giveaway at version 2.1.3 what changes are there in 2.3.1? I cannot find any applicable information on their site and their forum has been shut down.

Does it support VST plugins? If not, then the free version of PreSonus Studio One is much much better.

Michael, according to comment #1 https://www.giveawayoftheday.com/easy-audio-mixer-2-3-1/#comment-530296 it does support VST plugins

Reply   |   Comment by TK  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

Michael,
Yes it does.

Michael,
Also, I think this program is aimed at a different target than Studio One.
This is for the average user without knowledge of recording software.
Cheers

Gabriel Fernandez, Studio One is very easy to use. The GUI is excellent. It definitely can be used by the "average user".

Installs well on my 7SP1 but...
1 - Upon launching it, Kasparsky keeps nagging that it wants to contact an audio stream
2) Tried to load video files and it came with an error that "the pins are not connected" but the sound can be extracted and used, and it did.
3) I was able to load few VST plugins.
