Can we like get a bit more creative in our free offer of the day? I mean giving away 1980's era screen savers has got to be the most pointless and asinine use of this otherwise potentially great website. No, I will not give into this mindless activity and download it just because it's free. It another worthless screensaver that is worth less than the minute it took me to write this worthless review on this worthless piece of software. Heck, for all I know this garbage app is a TSR keylogger that phones home all my info to some offshore hacker syndicate so they can hack my identity and sell it off to the highest bidder in some underground Russian mafia gangster outfit. Why would I take that risk by installing this when it isn't worth the effort to do so to begin with? Anyway, please give us some worthwhile freebies and quit wasing my time with "scrensavers." What a joke.

I only recently discovered GOTD, and i have grown to like it. This particular screensaver-action seemed nice as well.Downloading was a drag, since there doesn't seem to be a select all device to download them in one move.
Having installed each and every one of 'm, i looked to see what would happen....
Beuatifull at first, but then...
The terrible commercial message that scatered the beautifull imaging ! I know i have not got the registered version, thats the reason we have GOTD in the first place, it's free.
It seemed nice at first, but the fun was spoiled soon.

I uninstalled the whole lot.

I'm not ungreatfull, i do appreciate the GOTD phenomenon, and i even like an occasional screensaver, but this one was just a teaser.

As a member of the original NASA/Dryden Space Shuttle Support Team, and a Navy avionics tech, I am delighted to see this offer. If you are ever up close 'n personal with a space shuttle (and maybe an SR-71), you will understand my excitement.

To the 3PlaneSoft team, congratulations on a terrific product, with graphics so realistic this could be the next-best thing to satellite imagery .. which would be the next best thing to being there!

I'm so disappointed! This screen saver is fantastic on my souped-up new Vista pc ... but the activation didn't take, I guess. I don't usually have any trouble with GOTD apps but this one still says it's unregistered. I'll probably uninstall it after I enjoy it for an evening.

Oh and #7 and 73, how about getting off your extensive backsides (figuratively speaking)and looking in GOTD's freeware section. Sheesh some poeople these days. What tools....Anyway hopefully ill like tomorrow's giveaway better. Yet again thanks to GOTD.

Lol #77's got the right idea, and #101. I personally dont appreciate the screen savers all that much, but after all it is a freebie. I think ill stick with my matrix code screen saver. Anyway, keep up the great work GOTD, you guys are awesome!

I really like this one. Having a hard time getting windows to put it up automatically like any other screensaver, but it works beautifully from the desktop button and I can hardly wait to share it with my children, one is a geography dude and the other a future astronaut!

Thank God for GOTD, since windows doesn't come with any screen savers and there is literally NO PLACE to find them for free on the interweb.

I for one would love a new screensaver as I lost all of mine from a a program given away a few weeks ago with a name that ryhmes with pastonshell. I will d/l this as as of now I only have the bad 1's xp includes...

IMHO constructive criticism is great. Whining is not. I know it is another screen saver, but there are 230 people so far who have given it a thumbs up. So someone is making use of it.

Look all you " oh I love screensaver" nuts.... I'm sure GAOTD " WANTS" to hear what theier members want and don't want... SO all you " I love screensaver" people that are telling us "Screensaver haters to STFU? You STFU lol we have a right to express our opinions. IF you don't like it, go watch your screensavers for hours on end and continue to kill your brain lol or perhaps go watch the washing machines at the local laundromat.

I was a little hesitant downloading a "free" screensaver but this one is really cool! It looks awesome. Screensavers are far from a dead technology, especially those that essentially turn your screen into something pleasant to look at when the computer isn't in use like this one or the Koi fish tank.

#133, go to options to turn off the sound.

Beware of this software developer - it contains spyware. I use Symantec System Works and their firewall. You will have " Adware.Starware " in you PC if you run their screensavers.

I really like the Personal registry cleaner and recommend it before paying big bucks for anyother. But this website's team should run all programs in their pc's to test before posting here for download.

Firstly, many thanks to GOTD for the great work, I cycle my screensavers quite often and I believe you can never have too many screensavers. And next, to all the whingers, if you don't like the software offered here, go elswhere, you might not have noticed but the internet is a big place and you can find anything if you look hard enough. try typing 'freeware "whatever you're looking for" download' into google and see what you get. The only software I pay for now are the big production games as there are excellent freeware versions of pretty much anything.

WOW! I don't think I have ever seen a software get this many thumbs down. I usually will not bother downloading if the thumbs down get to around 20 percent, but when I logged in and went to GAOTD I was shocked to see such negative responses. Since I have four programs that go bonkers over screen savers and hybernation, I have both features set to NEVER. If I need to leave any of these programs running over night, I will shut down the monitor manually to "save energy."

Screen savers are kind of a fun and nifty product, thank you for the offering GOATD.

man there are a lot of whiners on this site. yeah you are entitled to a negative comment, but don't act like your providing useful feedback if all your doing is complaining about what it is. Maybe some people like these screensavers. I didn't need the software they offered yesterday, so I didn't download it. No complaining or anything. simple huh?

Not true Slip. GOTD indeed PAYS the full license price for every piece of software they offer. Then they get permission from the developer to distribute the license they bought for GOTD visitors to download for 24 hrs.

Nice one. Graphics are good, nice soundtrack, many choices on settings. Interactive mode is great for kids learning geography.

GAOTD does not pay anything for sites to give them software so why can't they start rejecting screensaver sites?
And our "complaints" and "whines" come with useful suggestions, such as video converting software.

Also check out the Beta 2 on the logo, do any of you know what a Beta is? Its a testing stage by the public where we point out any bugs and improvements that need to be made, here's ours WE DON'T NEED SCREENSAVERS...or want them either

So next time you people who deny our right to give improvement advice repeat what has occurred here, why don't you think, you telling us to shut up does no one any good, just spam, whilst we give CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM.

just wondering if this one is like the planet one which I loved...but was VERY difficult to stop once it started loading (which took forever). I have a lot of room on my computer but ended up ditching that one because of my unhappiness over that. If the screensaver kicks in and you want to stop it it shouldn't take a few minutes before you're able to.

I like most screensavers. At least these screensavers are created with lots of effort and time and it's made free to me.

Professional/Semi-Professional Picture Software
A easy to use Webpage Creator
Any MIDI software and especially any Audio Conversion to MIDI
Any Video DVD rendering and burning Software
Or Even Screensavers Made by the people who make Free Fire Screensavers

And I forgot to say, #133: there's a volume button on your speakers... or go into the settings of your screen and stuff, maybe the screensaver has an option to disable sound.
I can't be sure about that, haven't tried a screensaver in many, many moons.

I don't have much use for fancy-pants screensavers that chew up resources.
But I just installed a new videocard on one of my machines, for which I might as well get some fancy-pants eyecandy.
And unlike all them other screensaver-haters, I am such a nonconformist that I will just download and install it for the heck of it.
There, I said I don't like all them screensavers, but I still managed to be positive about it.

Earth Screensaver indeed! The best way to save both the screen and the earth is to set the monitor to to turn off when not in use. Screensavers are environmentally unfriendly!
