I have tried the “Video Downloader” option and it DOES NOT work.
I tested it and the video downloader works very well.
One quirk. Try not to have the video playing when the software "analyzes" the video before download. On one occasion while the online video was playing, it cannot detect audio and downloaded the video without sound. A retry, this time stopped the online video from playing while the software analyzes. This time, it can detect audio. The downloaded video has sharp video and clear sound.
You cannot choose which folder to download the video to.
It defaults to store the video in this folder:
c:\Documents and Settings\(yourname)\My Documents\WonderFox Soft\WonderFox DVD Video Converter\Download_Video\
Just pick it up from there.
But I have always used Greentree's YTD Youtube Downloader to download Youtube videos (be careful when you install or upgrade to newer versions of Greentree's YTD Youtube Downloader - decline and reject all offers to change your browser, your home page or install additional tool bars or "free" software into your PC).

Great Product! I installed it last time it was given away (version 4.6). It works wonderfully and it is faster than all my other products. But..., if you need subtitles, you will need a different product. In the previous version and in this version I was not able to get subtitles working.

I'm having problem seeing the bottom of the Setup box to click on 'Next'. using win 7 64bit, tried IE, Pale Moon, Chrome, unlocking Taskbar, full-size screen, nothing works. giving up.

I am no expert, but I do convert one dvd a week that has multiple vob (chapters?) into a MP4 file. This program allows me to merge and convert in one pass (I like a lot) but it "bangs" the head of my reader back and forth between the tracks it converts simultaneously. When there is only one track left working, it stops the 3 to 5 "seeks" per second it hits my dvd player with. 4 gigs, i3, win7; so it's not a resource problem. The program just doesn't take large "bites" of each track to convert and then work on them. This is the only problem I find. I would buy this program now if not for this problem. Fix this Wonderfox and you'll have a lifelong customer.

Is this program everything I need to copy my commercial DVD movies, then back them up to DVD5 (compress them to avoid having to back them up to dual-layer DVDs)? I contacted the company some time ago and never received a reply.

This is not a trial. Under "AVI" you can change the encoder to XviD once you have added any video file to be converted.
If you click on the Edit icon, you can flip the video or rotate it 90 degrees clockwise or counter clockwise. You can trim the video.
Conversion is fast. Output is sharp and clear.

Downloaded and installed fine. Doesn't convert iso. just tells me no dvd title found. After mounting the iso. file it sais same thing. All files were already decoded so that's not the problem. At this point its worthless to me. Thumbs down from me

Downloaded and installed properly on Win 7. When I drag in a video file (avi) to edit, it played without sound in the display screen. Is this normal or something wrong with my pc? I wouldn't know where to cut off the unwanted parts if no sound is playing.

I am trying this to convert a 90 minute AVI film to DVD format using XP SP3. The program was installed and activated without problems.
I like the way in which:
1. It suggests the optimum settings reasonably well and predicts the output size so that the bit-rate can be adjusted to fit the disk, etc.
2. The priority can be set to low so that even this old, single core computer remains fully responsive during processing.
Limitations when used to produce a DVD are that there are no authoring facilities for generating menus or chapters.
The overall processing time for the 90 minute file will, it seems, be about 6 hours, which for this computer is faster than average.

So, when will we see audioproducts instead of all these videoproducts. Nothing wrong with them, but audioproducts are very seldom seen here. By audioproducts i mean useful products !

If I remember right, we had had the same software some time ago under another name. The interface, the settings and the ribbon for the output device are identical. Because I normally do not keep all these converters, i have no direct access. Sorry...
A small, dark non resizable window opens. In the settings you can enable GPU support and you can select the number of cores used by the program.
You can use this program as a video downloader, too. I did not test this feature.
