Well, I tried this out on several DVDs that are resistant to ripping. My OS is Windows 7. DVD RipR does have a user-friendly UI.
However, I kept getting an "unhandled exception" error box. Frequently, the disk would not load. Frequently, the program would freeze up, so that Task manager could not close it. On one occasion, I had to reboot my computer to shut it down.
Once I got everything to work, it does a good job. I'm not going to keep it though. Wish I could. Too many problems.

A DVD ripper is not very useful because the image of a ripped DVD in Europe has a definition of 720x576 pixels.
For MP3 audio, the usual frequency is a maximum of 16500 Hz.

Irina Demick, I'll tell something else. Suppose you have a 4K flat screen 3840x2160 pixels. With the Ripped MP4 file (720x576) you can play at that 4K flat screen. You definitely find that movie definitely and fixed miserable. Quality not good, bad.
