Good ! easy and fast duplicate file finder.

It finds duplicate files easily, but it will not allow me to delete them. It tells me it needs permissions from a particular user, but I'm logged in as that user. I've also tried running it as administrator, but that doesn't seem to work either. I'm sure I'm just missing something...

Can this be used as a file finder (with Boolean logic) as well as a duplicate finder?
If so, I will install it.
If not, that is my improvement suggestion to the developer - an all in one duplicate finder and a desktop document search engine.

I am sorry for my negative open mind, but I, only one time, have met the program which was finding similar files by its inside contests but not by names. And also there were 2 windows what were shown similar photos with different names. It was a program from unknown Belorussian men. The program was not beautiful and with dos interface but really great.
So, it is a pity, that Belorussian program was lost. It was really nice and quick helper in doing.

The last version 11 I installed has a lifetime license, but version 21 is 1 year. Does anyone know if there are significant features changes/updates to be worth sacrificing the lifetime license?

Am I missing something? It is sorting by size but ignoring file title. Example: Two different 700MB video titles are showing as duplicates.

emaureeng, You can change , in the options, if it compares byte-by-byte, or sampled compare, of files which are above a size you can set.
But yes, it is strange how they sample.

The first bullet point about the program says it compares 'content'. Maybe not file names.

Our D2FP product ignores file name, size, date, extension, only considers file content.
If you think this two video files in "wrong" result, please feel free to press "F7" on the main interface to adjust the comparison algorithm for big files.
