How do I turn the VPN off without uninstalling it?

I uninstalled v1.1; the uninstallation which was mandatory did modify regstry but did not erase the files installed; so I can launch v1.0 again... but with the harateristis of v1.1.: very small fonts... and closes as soon as I launch it, select a disk and start scan!
