Sounds like fun.
I normally just try to come up with a new website name and then go to one of the domain checkers online, enter the name and it tells me if it's for sale or available or not and gives a list of .biz .org, etc that are available.
I'm going to give this program a try and then most likely delete it.
I'm most curious about the "Domain Checker helps you brainstorm names..."
Just want to see what's up with that.

OK, after checking out this software a little, and learning how to use (just a small portion) of it, it's a keeper.
This program is really handy and useful. Sure, I suppose you can find most of the functions that this program does on the web, but you'll have to search from site to site. Now everything is right here in one place.
I checked two old website names that I used to have. I freaked out. One is owned by a conglomerate and selling for $3,699 USD. The other one is (was) still available. I instantly found a cheap domain name registration and purchased 3 years of service.
The COOL THING, after a few minutes I went back into this program and searched for the site name I just purchased and it was already updated and showed "unavailable".
Whois opens right up in the program, no more having to go to the website. Domain Value Appraisals opens up GoDaddy saving you time and not having to do it yourself. There are a lot of good helpers in this program.
Maybe someday I'll put one of my sites back online, I have been thinking a lot about it lately. Several programs I have found here on gaotd might make it easier for me. I have to get away from perfection and building everything from scratch. Takes tons of my time.

Usually the hosting company provides a name checker for a website, from the description given here this software allows the 'farming' of names. This, in turn, allows the name to be 'captured' for the purpose of selling it.

Far inferior to the tool available for free at all the major hosting companies (think Hostgator, Godaddy, etc.). If I search for buttocks.com this tool will tell me if it's available. Fine. Exactly as advertised!
But the tools on the hosting sites (which you'll have to visit if you want to host the dang thing!) will tell you "buttocks.com is taken, but here are some other options: buttocks.net and buttocks.org are available."
If I want to check other extensions with this tool I need to enter each one individually. I can't see why anyone would want to search that way. This program desperately needs to do the same thing that the free tools do or it is not worth any money at all.
If those essential options are in this program, the option is too deeply buried to easily find. I should not have to dig deep for that functionality, which should be the default behaviour.
Despite being a giveaway version, I still had to uninstall because it would take many times longer to get the same results available at the aforementioned sites.
Thanks for the kind offer, but it's close to useless when compared to traditional ways of finding domain names.
