DiskInternals Uneraser can recover any deleted file, including documents, photos, mp3 and zip files, or even folders and damaged disks. In addition to HDD, the program supports any type of storage media (music sticks, cameras, flash drives, USB drives, etc)! I have tested several such things before purchase. This one have a "strange" look as for my Vista system and have still 'near average' results. The best alternatives are products from Stellar and Raise Data Recovery for NTFS or FAT.
Any free alternatives are just things "to play", not to use.

Under a pretty interface lies a piece of garbage, it shows that the file can be recovered to sucker you in to buying the software. It writes data to the drive so no other recovery program can retrieve the accidentally deleted files. Run away from this and go find another fix.

Hmm, this software became unregistered for me. I last used probably a few days after it was installed, so it's been a while, but I have no idea what caused it. I can now only enter a product key or launch trial version. The only thing I've done is install more software from this site, wonder what happened..

Anyone else have this problem? I guess it's back to the slow PC inspector.

This is a great site that offers different free app everyday. Why are people complaining? It will only causes you some bandwidth if you don't like it. Every company needs to make some money to keep itself afloat, and this site is no different. By creating a marketing solution for the vendor and free software for the end user, I think this site has great potentials.

So, pass the words around and hopefully it will get bigger!

Run-of-the-mill. Although there's better freeware and open source products out there, this products simple interface and ease of use is nice.

I think it's funny you all thing this site is doing this for free. Do you not realize the advertising they are bringing in? From both the sponsors and the makes of the applications. Sheesh. Of course the site is nice, but come on, for free? Of course not. Hats off to them though hopefully they are getting a nice paycheck for their idea.

This is a common program with a great interface, and is very useful. I would pay for this for the convenience alone. Thanks for intoducing me to it. Install went fine and so did activation.

There are a number of free alternatives, (undelete-plus, etc), but this one appears to have an exceptionally intuitive interface.

The wizard works for an hour without giving concrete details how far it is in searching the harddisk. Only by the increasing number of files found I see it's still active. At this moment I'm not impressed by the programm.
