No-one came to my rescue, so I have deleted the download (again). It looks like this software does not work with any modern version of MacOS (they mention that the plug-in functionality does not work with Catalina - which was the OS from two years ago), My guess is that they haven't got their heads around the permissions changes which came in with Catalina.
Looking around their website, it looks like most of their output is Windows-only.

I am getting a message that I do not have permissions to run the Setup_Mac app on my iMac running Big Sur. Perhaps someone who has succeeded in getting a Mac installation to work can post a step-by-step "Mac Installation for Dummies" here before the giveaway expires?
Just asking, because I couldn't get it to install last time out (either).

Another neat offering by Software-projects/Franzis.de - thank you. Do not forget to use the manual it is very useful.
Usual clunky registration but it works better if you log on to your account before the install.
On the MAC non-install issue - I tried to install it on Monterey but was a no go - I was able to install it on High Sierra and it works perfectly.

How do you get the Mac setup to work? Any help before this expires would be awesome. Thanks! The message I get when I click on the Mac setup file is can't open file. Hope that helps.

I bought DENOISE projects 2 Pro, using it quite a bit for a few years. It generally helped a little, though I did not use it on any really noisy [e.g. high ISO] photos -- I just didn't have any to try it with. When version 3 came out I didn't see enough improvement to justify the upgrade, but I have not looked at the current version 4. I bought Topaz DeNoise AI instead, which is orders of magnitude better than my copy of Denoise 2 Pro. I got turned on to AI denoising with DVDFab Photo Enhancer AI, which was a GOTD -- there have been several updates to the app, so any problems may have been fixed, but I bought the Topaz app because the DVDFab software often left small distorted patches in the photos it denoised. AFAIK the app from Topaz & a competing app from On1 are considered the top 2 denoise apps currently.
Normally Franzis giveaways have their own wrapper -- when you enter the 2 keys it extracts the real setup app in the User temp folder. I copy/save that to use in the future. I often install giveaway Franzis apps in a VM, then copy the program's folder to a real copy of Windows to avoid any [usually older] Microsoft C/C++ runtime installations. They'll activate & run fine that way, adding any needed files to C:\Users. I have seen Franzis giveaways that did not include plugins, had plugins separately in the .zip file, or had plugins included in the setup app -- in the last case the install routine does not always install the plugins, so I had to use Universal Extractor on the real setup file to get them.

Mike,
Your statement about Topaz DeNoise AI sounds legit; I do not have that program to verify myself. I did use their "before" samples with Franzis DENOISE projects 2 Limited, and the finished versions do not come close to the Topaz DeNoise AI "after" samples. What I do not know is if the Topaz DeNoise AI "before" images are the ones they used to create their "after" samples. Some photo enhancement programs blur down their "before" images a bit to look more impressive. Also, the before image on the website are usually jpg files, but when the actual denoise process was running, it may have used RAW formats. That conversion to jpg files could affect both the before and after images to some degree (we do not know at what level of compression they used to convert to jpg), but the after images would still look better.
Also, since this is the "Limited" edition, it would be nice to see how the Pro edition compared to Topaz DoNoise AI. It is not clear how the limited affects the processing, it any, and may only pertains to other features.
If you do get a chance to do a compare using the version 4 DENOISE projects PRO edition, I think we all would like to hear about what you experienced.
Thanking you very much for your contribution.

Downloaded and installed with no problems. Used it on an old picture from 1959 and it came out better than I expected. I like that you have different variances of denoise to get the right one for you.

This looks like it might be the same program from this company which was offered 4/21/22. It was called DENOISE Projects Standard (64-bil). Is there a difference?

Dennis Comito, if you check the support page Franzis lists Denoise Std as version 1, while today's GOTD is version 2 Elements, which is limited compared to Denoise 2 Std.

Philip Turner,
I have Mac High Sierra v10.13 and got the same message. I was able to bypass the message by opening the program in Finder (but not in Launchpad) and was able to set it up fairly easily.
