How can I export my email text to PDF when there is no output option for PDF in the drop down menu?
There does not seem any way to export a certain outlook folder as it seems that it will export all my email.

Brian, it is not exporting all emails! To export specific Outlook folder you have to choose it in the "Choose Source Folder for Export" dialog. The program prompts it to be selected.
You have to select the "Custom export format" option and specify PDF as the output format for emails.

Thank you very much for sharing this! Amazing software and very competent support! That's what I am calling - professionals. I asked to add the field called "File Names" for the attachments into the report and they did this in 30 minutes after my request. Brilliant service! Keep up kudos to you!!!

NOTE: Software installs both 32 bit and 64 bit executables at the same time. If your Outlook version is 32 bit, you should use 32 bit software, if Outlook is 64 bit you have to run 64 bit software. No matter what is your OS bit! Only Outlook bit matters.

Does this product still need outlook installed to extract data from pst files? Thank you.

Reply   |   Comment by Gary  –  4 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Gary, why this question appears? The answer is stated in the system requirements. There is no way to work with Outlook data model without having Outlook libraries installed. You may install trial Outlook version temporary to extract data from PST files. If you want to use it without Outlook at all you may try to setup Microsoft CDO Libraries instead.

Is there a software package that adds a number to each new e-mail train? I have seen e-mails from financial companies and large corporations, but do not know how this is done automatically.

njwgd, thank you for your suggestions. You may reinstall the software to enable the email titles in PDFs.

Robert, Fantastic support thanks! I have reinstalled and the titles of the PDFs are now the subject of the emails - perfect!

OK some feedback.
It would be good if the 'Choose source folder' box was taller by default - I have to make it bigger every time it opens. Even if it remembered the last size it was at - that would hep.

It would be good if the 'title' of the pdf matched the email subject in some way. At the moment all the pdfs have the same title 'Data Extraction Kit for Outlook' which makes it hard to swap between files if you have a few of the pdfs open

The font size choice for the pdf only goes up to '10' - some larger sizes would be useful.

The 'add email attachments to pdf' option didn't work for me. It was the one thing I really wanted - to keep the images and the original emails together

njwgd, the image was not attached as it was embedded into email body. This option "add email attachment to pdf" works for email attachments.

njwgd, could you please contact us via the contact form at our website. We have several questions about suggested functionality. Thank you.

Robert, The images were attachments, not embedded in the email body

njwgd, could you please send one of such messages to our support email for example. You may use Outlook menu File > Save as to save the selected message into MSG file. Please also pack this MSG file into ZIP archive before sending to keep it unchanged. Thank you.

njwgd, I tried this and sent you the email with my example. As you may see there is an image which is properly attached to the PDF file.

Robert, Thanks for being so proactive and following up on this. It seems it was my own incompetence with my pdf reader. I was expecting that the name of the attacment in the pdf document would be a link to click to see the attachment. I didn't realise that there was a separate 'attachment' option in the reader that you needed to click to see the attachments. Apologies

Please ensure that you run the activation tool prior to start the DEKit software. If DEKit is executed at the moment of activation you have to restart it. If nothing helps submit your request using the contact form at www.outlooktransfer.com website.

Hi. Installed fine. I ran the activation file before starting the program. When I open the program, it shows "DEMO VERSION" in the title bar of the program. Does that mean it didn't accept activation?
