I saw this on Jimmy Kimmel and decided to give it a try. Downloaded, registered and install without any problems in Windows 10. I also downloaded and installed the two add-on packs without problems. Now I just have to make some time to learn how to use it. Registration process could have been a little simpler. A simple registration process most likely would have eliminated the problems some folks were having.

guys, in everything it;s best to follow this principle: KISS. (Keep it simple, stupid) I thought I did everything asked of me, but I still have no serial number. When I click on the link for 'registration, patch and bonus' nothing opens . I think 'Perhaps I'm already on that page.' But there is no mention of serial numbers or product info on this page. There is only an area asking for the mythical serial number. Yes, I got the email with the activision link - which I clicked on but
I only ended up on the Member Page without a serial number, only a request for one so I could register.

Can't wait to give this a try. I've got Win10 so hoping it works. But we had an older version of this program back in 2009 at the office, so had great fun fiddling around with it then, ended up with several fun videos (a frog quoting from Spaceballs, a giraffe quoting the Rock Scissors Paper Lizard Spock thing from BBT, and my cat quoting from Austin Powers), including this one (assuming the link works) of my cat Ozzy quoting from Princess Bride. :D Really hope this program works on Win 10, the old one was awesome! https://www.facebook.com/karen.cusimano/videos/10201748006579348/

Karen Cusimano, Thanks for posting a video of what can be done with this program. I've shared it. I don't think my cat is anywhere near as talented as yours, so I'll do things like making a video of Donald Trump saying something incredibly stupid. Not that there's a shortage of videos of Donald Trump saying things that are incredibly stupid.

Walter Snodgrass, How can you tell when Trump says something stupid? His lips move. :D

Here's another one with Ozzy, looking a bit more animated, with different eyes, from Austin Powers. :D https://www.facebook.com/karen.cusimano/videos/10201747999419169/

Karen Cusimano, Thanks! I think it'll take me a while to learn to produce videos anywhere near that good!

Download, installation and registering was fast and easy since I already have a membership at Reallusion, Except:

1. Got this error message during installation, I hit ignore and all went well after that (but it will probably cause problems for some feature when I try to use it):

File Error
"C:\Users\Public\Documents\Reallusion\Template\CrazyTalk7 Template\Auto Motion\03_Idle\foldd3e4.rra"

The system cannot find the file specified. (0x2)
[Abort] [Retry] [Ignore]

Lots of hard drive space, anyone else get this or know of a solution?

2. I registered on the web page when I got my serial number. The program then asked me again to register. Why twice?

Also -- I very much like that they track all my installs and let me re-download programs, patches, bonus content. Don't like that the main help page is mostly about features in version 8 that we don't get with this program. Overall pretty happy to get this, thanks Reallusion & GOTD!

Cr*pola... got it installed all right (Win 10), but when I loaded & ran a sample project, I could hear the voices & sounds but NOT see the actors or the background!

But an older version (CrazyTalk Animator Standard) runs fine on this same computer, so I dunno what is up!

Everyone looking for the serial number, Download as usual, then run the program when you go to close Picture underneath is a very small form to fill in with your name and a password, after u have done that it automatically fills in a serial number and updates it to be the owner. Have fun!

There must be someway you can keep the product after such a event.

I couldn't remember my previous RI password so I created a new account. After jumping thru so many freakin hoops it would not accept my new log in and password even tho it said my account was activated. Too much work to try out a program. I quit. I've already unsubed from another free giveaway site for such complicated login games, I'm about ready to unsub from GOTD too. I'll pass on Crazy Talk.

I had been keeping an eye open for this at macvideopromo.com and pcvideopromo.com, and here I find it at Giveawayoftheday.com!!

Macvideopromo.com has had CrazyTalk Pro at a great price before, but only for the Mac, and the licenses are not transferable (per the developer). I had been expecting the Windows version to show up on PCVideoPromo.com but it never did.

So I'm pretty stoked to see this giveaway for the Windows version, and for free as well!!

I went thru the website registration process without any issues and received my serial number at the end (with 2 bonus pack for download as well, BTW).

I installed and activated the software and added the 2 bonus packs without issue on Window 7 Pro 64-bit. Now I need to learn how to use it, though it seems simple enough. I really hope this meets my expectations, or at least comes close...

Yeah the registration is complicated, many of us already had a Reallusion account so that makes it easier. I got Crazy Talk from the last time this site offered it, I'll be getting this one too. I don't use it often but when I do I really like it. I'm a 3d artist so wile I might know my way around this kind of software it's not what I do regularly - I don't animate 3d objects I make/paint/pose them. It took me about 30 minutes to figure this out, there's some sprite manipulation quirks and there's some extra downloadable content that doesn't come with the initial download (that's what the membership is for). Yes, this is one of THOSE things, endlessly finding/buying and downloading content for the runtime. I have a few other software packages that are like that so it didn't bother me but will probably bother others and it seems by the comments folks are getting hung up on it. My advice, just dump some of the charters into the scene, throw a set on top of it and play with them, you'll get the hang of it. There's no a whole lot of special effects initially but I think that's where the average user will get the most entertainment.

Great programme for animation. Have used it for parts of videos using Daz characters. Use this to make a character talk, export the file as an mp4 and then edit it into any film that you are making. Or just use this programme as is. I have Crazy Talk 7.3 so I will not need to download this.

For anyone concerned about becoming a "member" of Reallusion. I've been a member since 2010. They are not intrusive by any means. They only send promotional emails about their products (which by the way are awesome!) I usually get on average one email per week from them.

This download went just fine. I admit there are a few extra steps but it only took a few minutes to complete. They make great animation software. You won't be disappointed.

Good Luck!

As others have reported, one can't install the program without a serial number, and such a number isn't being provided. Someone has screwed-up, and it isn't us! You folks should follow through and quickly correct his oversight. Rather than helping your company, you are damaging its reputation.

Works fine for me - Windows 10! Lots of fun!
Just download zip file from giveawayoftheday.com. Unzip and read the readme.txt. Then, register as a member in reallusion.com and SIGN-IN. In the readme.txt, there is a link. Cut and paste and open in new tab. It will generate a screen with the S/N no. You will also receive the confirmation email with the S/N. Remembe, you must be SIGNED-IN (the reallusion.com account).

Hope it works for you too! Thank you for this giveaway. I really love it!

Reply   |   Comment by Michael Schore  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+3)

@Michael Schore, I did a bit of research..the problem you're having is most likely Windows Hyper-V. If this is turned on in Windows 10 it automatically creates a "virtual environment" on your PC. Apparently Crazy Talk doesn't work with that feature turned on. Not sure how to disable it or why its on in some installs of Windows 10 and not others.

hamstergirl4444,
I also downloaded the previous offer from this company here on GAOD; It was Crazy Talk Animator Standard 2 D. This offer is for Crazy Talk 7.32 Standard. I have checked the web site and notice that the previous download falls under their category of "Animation" titles wherein this one offered today falls under the category of "Crazy Talk". I also have no idea which one is the better of the two. Don't think I need both but again, have no idea.

Went through the registration process as described in my previous comment, fortunately I had an account with this company and so it was pretty easy to get my serial number.
The question is, was it worth it, and the answer is YES, YES.

This company produces some very complex software that works straight out of the box and they've done it again.
As a developer I really have to admire software of this nature and quality.

As a quick test I brought some of their actors into my space and was able to modify them without the slightest difficulty.

If you wish to make animated characters of your own design this looks like it's a program for you.

I'm going a play with it to see what I can produce for the children in the family, that includes me. :-)

Tata, a bit to mutch of Blabla ?
1- Nothing with those programs works straight out of the box.
2- You modified some actors without the slightest difficulty as you tell us.
3- Your a developer ? so it schould be no problem to give us an exampel of what you'r able of.
Otherwise continue the Blabla elswhere.
I, no developer, give here an example with sound that took lots of time and nothing straight out of the box.
Allso its 'a horribel piece of unfinished work you could finisch and make it good, straight out of the box.
But I show you without Blabla.
Show it to us as I do without Blabla.

The most complicated and messy registration process I have ever seen.
This is the README file for today's download, it shows what you have to go through to get the program registered

Step 1. To activate your free copy, first create a free Reallusion member account by clicking "Create Account" button in the below page. If you already have a Reallusion account, please directly go to Step 3.
http://www.reallusion.com/event/CT7std/giveawayoftheday_ct7.aspx

Step 2. After your account is created, you will receive an activation email from Reallusion. Remember to also check your SPAM folder in case you don't see it in your mail box. Simply click the activation link in that email to activate your account.

Step 3. Return back to the below page and press the "Login Now" button. You will be redirected to a serial number redeem page.
http://www.reallusion.com/event/CT7std/giveawayoftheday_ct7.aspx

Step 4. Unzip the package you've downloaded and install the software by running Setup.exe

Step 5. Please copy and paste the serial number into the required field while installing the software.
