I have successfully installed the program on Windows 7 but I have not received any ReadMe file and so have no serial number!

What a strange way to register the software! For those who may be experiencing issues, the version you install and first open is not the Pro version. Open the sample corrupted file and try to save it. It will ask if you want to upgrade to the pro version. Copy and paste the serial included in the readme. Your software will be automatically upgraded to Pro.

Tried the program on XP out of curiosity: the requirements do state Vista and above, but experience tells me that you never know.
Installed and ran easily, but crashes on opening any file.
Will put it down to system incompatibility unless others have also found this.

After checking further, this is a Chinese company (or person) located in the Shaanxi province of China. Not that I don't trust "honest" developers, but I find it really strange that their website never mentioned that this is a paid software. You can download two of their software (only two offered) for free, even portable. No link or button to purchase them.
Is there a way to find out if, after installing, that software dials "back home"? Or has a hidden tool to track your actions?

JackieK, yes the simplest way to find out is to run the program, then open task manager and find the program and under the network tab you'll be able to see if there is any network activity. If you are worried about the software dialing home you can always block it with your firewall.

JackieK, I run my computer through a small router plugged into an AC toggle switch on my desk, for no other reason than to shut off my internet if I'm suspicious of some program needing to call home. That's how I find out.

benasp, Just to say, I have a problem with comments like yours.
You actually did two things that always bug me:
1. You belittled someone's honest concern. I'm not particularly worried about software from someone in a particular country. But insulting someone is wrong.
2. You turned to whataboutism. I studied formal logic in school, responding to if A=B with if C=B is meaningless. Answering cars crash with planes crash is the same argument you are making.

Mario, If you click on the Folder Icon - it will take you to a Sample Corrupt PDF File / Open that file / Then click Save or Print / Upgrade to PRO pops up - Click on that - then your Registration Window opens up to enter your Registration Key Code / After entering the code and registering - the program will shut down / Restart the program and (PRO) will show up in the Title Line / NOTE - When you click on Upgrade - it will also open up a Checkout Page on you browser ($29.95) - just close that page down!

It's free on their website, even the portable version. They even have a "larger" version PDFixer (also portable) that is free. There is no "buy" option or cart of any sort on their website.
Very weird that GAOTD says it was $29.95 and "free" only for today!!!

Awesome program. But it can work only with one PDF.
It has not got possibility to open few "healthy" PDFs for comparing, for example.
Would you, please, to make such possibility in this program?

If the PDFs are good, you can just open them in a regular PDF reader. If you want side by side, just put the two windows next to each other.
If you want to compare file differences, there is the excellent Beyond Compare (or others).
