I don't find the button for bold text in the text adding panel and Don't see the way to add form control or fill forms.

My favorite PDF editor is 'Affinity Publisher' - I use it for complex layouts. I like it better than Inkscape.

I tried this out when it was featured on GOTD (only a month ago), and it promised much but turned out to be all the things I didn't want - too slow; couldn't cope with reducing large documents. So sadly I'm not interested.

Note that it's only a 6-month giveaway, not lifetime.
It has a few runtime bugs, popup nuisances, no settings, and no dark theme, but other than that, I've tried it out and its entire feature set is actually quite extensive - the controls are very configurable, and everything works remarkably well. This is actually a viable, fully-capable PDF client, one of the best I've used. I particularly appreciate the ease with which you're able to edit existing text in PDFs, something other clients don't do well or don't do at all. I'm on the fence about whether I'll continue with it after the giveaway period ends.

The activation code didn't work, and the software was trying to get me to set up an account. I now read it's only for a 6-month license. There are plenty of free PDF editors and readers that don't even require a license.

Only offering a 6-month license? That's a joke. Get with it, coolnewsoft. There are many free PDF editors out there that do more than this program and have better reputations. You're not going to make any inroads by offering only a 6-month trial.

The serial number will not work unless you first setup login info to there site. Then there is licensing which is only for 6 months. It does allow you to edit a PDF document you just can't save it unless you are registered. If you are OK overlooking the cons it appears to be a very good editor.

However good this program is ( and it looks fine) I am not downloading it as the licence is only for 6 months. The whole point of GOTD is that free software is offered so that the software owners can gain evaluation of their product by users and thus improve the product and its reputation to drive future sales while software users can get the advantage of free software for giving an evaluation. A 6 month licence is just not worth my time as after time downloading and getting used to the product the 6 months is up so the owner may get the advantage of my evaluation but I get nothing in return. Sadly GOTD has many too many 6 month licences recently.
