The software works as intended, but giving out password to the PDF document is asking for trouble. Upon removing the password, anyone will have all of the rights to do what ever they want, including changing text, pictures, ownership and so on. If that was a read only PDF, after the fact, becomes public domain PDF, even the Exif can be changed for nefarious purposes.
I suggest to Coolmuster some sort of self destruction after the edit, print or read has been executed. If that can be incorporated, I for sure will buy it.

Password protection against unauthorized reading is one thing. But unlocking to allow editing and whatever allows vandalism and theft.

mike, that's why you digitally sign official PDF files and then if they are hacked with this type of software and edited they would have to be re-digitally signed to have a valid digital signature. It is trivial to reset the PDF documents permissions even without ever having a valid owner password. Only the User password removal requires the actual password to be able to remove it and create an unencrypted PDF file. All these hacking methods will invalidate a previously applied digital signature.
