Does it have OCR ?
A DIFFERENT QUESTION
My objective here is to have my VB6 program, automatically convert PDF's in a folder to JPGs.
Does your program have a command line interface ? Such an interface allows you to call (execute) the program, whilst passing instructions such as - Convert all PDFs in folder C:\PDFs\ Into JPGs Placing the JPGs into folder C:\JPGs\ It would be nice if it could delete each PDF after it is converted to JPG
Similar functionality could also be provided WITHOUT using the command line.
That would entail the program having some settings where, we tell it where the PDFs folder is (to watch), and where the output JPGs folder is, and the program can be told to run minimized, and keep watching the PDFs folder. Meaning every time the program sees PDFs (in the PDFs folder), it converts them into JPGs (into the JPGs folder) automatically. It would delete the PDFs after it has converted them.

I agree with Eddie. It would be great if the program can go both ways. It isn't a show stopper since MS Office can create pdf files, but having Coolmuster reconvert will minimizd the inevitable multi-step distortion akin to the childhood game of "post office".

Downloaded successfully. When you attempt to register you don't appear to be able use an email that you've used with this company in the past. As such I had to use another email. Registration was straight forward.
I tested this program by attempting to convert a PDF to MS Word and Excel. The Excel conversion was good, but not perfect. The Word conversions attempt was not successful. It garbled the text (totally unreadable), and also treated the text as a un-editable block. When I performed the test I made sure I selected the correct criteria.
I believe I tested this program before with the same results. As such, I cannot recommend this for converting PDFs to MS Word. There are a few programs out there (including a free one on the Web; just Google It) that are able to used OCR embedded in its program and will do a good job with converting. Unfortunately this is not one of those programs. If someone has better success please let me know. I did give it my best shot. Perhaps I did do something incorrectly, but I don't think so. It is a fairly straight forward process of loading and converting.

Can this software convert back to pdf after editing?

EDDIE, I do not believe so, but to be honest I didn't investigate that feature. However, converting MS Office files and almost anything else is very easy and there is free software on the web to do it. I also believe Windows comes with a PFD driver as a print option. As such you can convert almost anything to a PFD for free as a built in Windows feature under the print mode.
