I don't understand why I might need this app , i can simply unter the phone setting and from there setting it to factory mode ,or mybe I'm missing something here ?

When you delete information from your computer your computer does not actually delete the information. All it does is mark the space as open for use. There are programs available that can see the info on that "deleted" space.
With programs like this what it does that is extra is write random info on that space to make sure if someone takes a look at it they see the random info rather than your info.
That is how it works on PCs but I believe that the android OS is based on Linux so it probably works the same way.
