The software is great if you do not need OS backup. The problem arises when the OS fails or the HD is malfunctioning, there is no way to restore it back due to the fact that the OS and all of the software is gone to restore back such valuable data.

mike, on the second picture, you can see there is an option to do a "system backup". Of course, you will need a startup media (emergency or recovery disk or usb stick) to recover your OS.

Sean, thanks for the answer, but this software can not be re-installed to restore the backup after the FACT. You will need additional software for whole hard drive backup to be done first and that makes the restore of the software failure hard to do. Second this software can not be activated again and all of the backup becomes useless, unless we subscribe to $3.99 per month fee.

The product page says: "Create full system images, back up entire disks or specific partitions to different storage devices, and selectively protect important files or folders such as Documents, Pictures, and Videos." Which means of course disk/partition images. What I couldn't find is any table or description of how the free version differs from the paid -- I suggest they add that so people know why they should upgrade to paid. Otherwise, it looks a lot like AOMEI Backupper.
