Does not work in [ Safe Mode ], which is critical for fixing a misbehaving computer, especially when disconnecting it from the Internet and our network during salvaging and repair.

It needs to run ~10 different background services including the 'Everything' file content searcher ... yet cannot identify if they are actually running, and it cannot 'fix' them to run, it has no 'self-repair' skill, so if they are not running ( safe mode ), the program just fails to complete any initiated tasks, stays at 0% completion forever, and does not identify why.

For whatever reason, it lists 1,300+ problems with Windows 7 security. ( Each is a good read, but don't be scared, just compare to any other Windows operating system before thinking Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and all it's versions, 11 and all it's versions, or the upcoming 12 will be any better. )

It ignored my malware samples ( I never delete malware, I move it to a 'malware sample' directory for further testing and identification, keeping it forever to 'test' new anti-malware programs, such as this, to see if they are recognized, or not ), and I have tons of installers and programs that have hits at VirusTotal ( hits that I accept, some are merely 'pups' potentially unwanted programs, but some are powerful with low-level access and manipulation capability, my service tools ), I have no idea why CatchPulse caught nothing, perhaps it just has no real savvy after all.

I can't think of any 'improvements' CatchPulse might implement, because even if it was smart and self-healing, and actually caught things, I'd have been there before CatchPulse anyway, and not 'need' it.

Because I generally don't think antimalware programs are functional, so instead I use smaller tools on demand, like
FREE ADWcleaner,
FREE JRT Junk Removal Tool,
FREE ComboFix (OK, it's big, with 34+ tools ),
FREE Tweaking Windows Repair Windows,
I always check and review reports at
FREE VirusTotal, checking installer files AND checking the resulting installed program files,
and I copiously use
FREE ad-blockers and other
FREE filters to reduce the side-risks of Internet browsing and downloading.

Your mileage may vary.

Thanks for letting us explore this and share.

It added 45sec to the startup time. Program took 16 hours to make "allowlist entries". I take it, that is the list of files on my labtop that the program will call safe. Therefore, if I have an unknown threat already, it will call it safe!

Works well - very low profile & minimum CPU usage

sanotifier.exe 5,340 K CatchPulse Notifier

and

SecureAPlus 4,504 K CatchPulse

being the only extra activities that I can see.

It has not slowed up my computer at all.

I hope that this software is a good option for complement any other better or worse antiviru-software or anti-malware-software where this software makes very good protection with them all

It doesn't seem to work in Windows Safe Mode, which is sometimes the only mode we can boot into when 'infected' by malware.

Oh well . . .

Installed and uninstalled. The reason for that is the amount of 'services' it is running. My (PcTools) firewall went off for like 18 times and counted 10 instances added in the firewall list. It also wanted to inject a program called 'Everything' and wanted to run that service, that I disabled manually. After installing, it still leaves files behind and had to deep clean the OS by running it in Save-Mode and renamed them, before deletion. Installed/uninstalled with Windows 7 test OS. Not feeling comfortable to run this 24/7.

I would like to thank SecureAge Technologies for enable and sharing their top of the range CatchPlus Malware to GATD users. I was pleasantly surprised at how user friendly, yet in detailed it was, not to mention how refreshing it is to see a company contributing and giving back to the community on a constant basis, especially on GATD. We'll done on the "Outstanding Techn Award" from ASOCIO for 2022

Check PC Magazine's review of this program. It got among the lowest scores of all of them:

https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/secureage-catchpulse

It's not a dud, but there are better ones out there for free. I'm going to have to pass on this, but when they improve the product, I might be willing to buy a multi-PC license.

I would like it to put icon on desktop. could not find but was in list of programs.

Initial scan exclude is taking long time. but can use computer so not big issue.

like default to be not registered since most have av already. wondering if this replaces av like avast. defender or any av.

g ber, their web-site say it runs in conjunction with other av's. Look on it and you'll find plenty of information about their program. I'm quite impressed by it myself. But note, once license runs out you will need to purchase a new one to access your "safe" list again.

g ber,

This program is not a "AV", but to fight against Malware. See it as naughty "scripts" running and the program it could find. Do not see it as a "virus" scanner, but an extra tool on top of your AntiVirus. 'Scripts' are as such like a Bat(ch) file to disable protection of your Windows OS(Operating System). Keep also in mind, if it finds anything, be sure to check(by Google f.e.) that it is not a 'false' detection.

Have a wonderful day!

Manny,
"you will need to purchase a new one to access your "safe" list again" that is not true. Making that statement, means that you are forced to buy it after this one year license.

Gurpreet Singh, beside your personal opinion, can you provide references to make your statement "its the best software i hv seen ever" valid? I would be interested in knowing why you state this.

Thank you so much for this free Malware product. Malware is always a problem
i like keeping my computer clean as possible. I even am not to fond of most anti virus software as they can become irritating and very intrusive

Look forward to trying out your product.
Thanks again
