The first "bone" is always double six. Either the computer has it or you do. If the computer has it he will deal it into the middle. Look at the bones you were dealt. 1: If any of them have a six it will be lighter in colour. Click and drag it to one of the blank spots(four)and let go. It will automatically orient itself. 2: If you have no sixes than you have to get more bones from the boneyard to the bottom right. It will be flashing. If one of the bones is playable it will be lighter colour and the possible placements will have a white box. If you need to move the setup so you can play the edges just click on one of the bones on the table and drag the whole lot. If you still have problems I will check here tomorrow.

I like it when GAOTD provides games, so I was happy to download. However, some crtiquing of this game: 1. Domino distribution is not random. If it was completely random, the double 6 wouldn't be dealt EVERY game. The fact it NEVER makes it to the boneyard tells me the dealing is not random. 2. The computer opponent is not very good. I haven't played dominoes in YEARS and I was still able to TROUNCE the computer opponent every game. Lost interest after a few games because of that.

Works with Vista. I downloaded this program, without any problems and liked the graphics and the idea. Unfortunately after playing a few games it becomes boring. It would have been good being able to play against a real person, as well as the computer. Having to move the game around to fit it on the screen becomes annoying too.

Installed software but never got to play it it caused a buffer error and said it was corrupted and when I tried to install it again the giveaway was over. Looked like fun (at least what I saw of it) >:)

I know I'm late, but wanted to let you guys know how much I appreciate this game. Thanks to GAOTD and also Merscom for offering it to us. I used to love playing dominoes, but hadn't in a while. I started enjoying it as soon as I downloaded and installed it, which was very easy to do. I played for hours, which I don't do if I'm not really enjoying the game. LOL

I loved the way my own MP3s and graphics could be uploaded into the program. They worked beautifully. I enjoyed hearing my MP3 of Enya's "Only Time" and having my own photos of sunsets in the background. I think that's a great feature. Also, I'm looking forward to playing the different variations offered.

I give this game a 10 out of 10!
Thanks!
Ethel

Left click and drag with the mouse to move the domino layout. The graphics are great and the game runs smoothly on my computer. I find the quality to be at least as good as most of the games of this genre.

well, i can not figure out how to play this game. i don't mean "what are the rules?" that is all i can find in the game - what the rules are.

i want to know:

how do you start to play?
i select the game type;
a new game starts;
my cursor makes the tiles in front of me raise in position slightly, but nothing else works on the screen except: Help (what dominoes is, how points are counted, BUT NOT HOW TO START THE GAME PLAY.) and Menu. I can do nothing else on the screen except open a worthless Help and Menu to start the Game selection process again or exit.

Well I just spent way longer playing that than I intended to!

Great game, simply beautiful backgrounds and I like that you can use your own graphics for the avatars. Gameplay is smooth and solid for me and doesn't go too fast or too slow. It has several different versions of the game which can be played and in each version you can read through the rules and tweak them if you want to.

I am glad I checked here first as I would not have had any idea how to scroll the page without reading the comments here. This IS a big flaw in the game but once you know how to solve it (hold down the mouse and scroll) gameplay is not affected.

A nice addition, thank you! This one is going on all the computers in the house.

Question: "In the old fashioned standard domino game you got points for making a play that resulted in pips that add up to a number divisible by 5. I can’t find that anywhere here."

Answer: "Muggins" is the game you're looking for.

I downloaded this game with no problems and it works just fine. I couldn't figure out how to see the bones there were off the board, but eventually just clicked on the bones and tried dragging and it worked! So for those who say they can't see the bones off the board, just click on them and drag up, down, right or left to see them. But like one reader said, I am used to seeing the pips add up when you score and I don't see how to fix it to do that. But it is a great game, the graphics are fantastic, and I love how it is all put together. If anyone figures out how to set it up so you see the pips add up, please let us know.

Great! Love it as an alternate to my FreeCell rounds. An earlier poster said it is a great little time waster and they are right! I used my mouse to move the tiles around the screen as needed. Scroll bar would be helpful in future upgrades.

Nice game, but buggy and lacking some features that would make it great game that I'd play often. No ordering of the tiles is a little annoying, as well as only being able to see ten at a time. The scrolling for the board is not the best, but is workable. Playing the Mexican Train game, I got to a set where two extra trains appeared in odd spots and were playable, and one of the computer players never played, just kept pulling from the boneyard. The same thing then happened two sets later. I think this game needs a little clean up and some rethinking on the UI. Definitely potential there though.

Super Game THX both to GGAOTD & Merscom, graphics are beautiful, lots of choice for the tiles and backgrounds, everything is crisp and clean. Explanation of the game and different ways of playing are easy to understand even for a Frenchie ;-) Certainly a keeper, the more so since it can be a multiplayer game. I give it a 10 thumbs up!

Also no problem installing or running it on XP sp2 home, a really nice surprise.

Just a few corrections to my post above. There are only 50 bone sets, not 100 like I initially thougt. Also the two links I posted seem to ave been deactivated by the brackets I used. So here they are again.

This is a very delightful version of dominoes.
I am so glad I downloaded it(many thanks to our own "whiterabbit" for his continually helpful and insightful opinions, without which I possibly might have passed and really missed out!)
I had only ONE problem which was the tile going off the edge of the screen but thanks to those who told us how to remedy that!!
I actually like the music(quite relaxing!)and the amazing backgrounds are a delight.
The multitude of tile variations is wonderful too.
The best is, of course, the many varieties of games.
I am getting into the chicken foot one; fun!
THANKS so much again, GOTD!!!!

YEAH !!! I won the game !
It's really a nice game, I think the best in my dominoe-collection.
Even my old and rather tired computer likes it.
But I don't like, that it highlightes the stones and the places, would rather look by myselfe.
Thank you GAOTD and Merscom!

Downloaded easily. Played the basic game. Music is fine -- can always turn off if it becomes tiresome. Fun game... would definitely play again. It's okay having the bones go off the sides of the screen, as just a simple click and drag moves them into sight again. Excellent price! Thank you to GAOD and Merscom. My kids will enjoy this one, too.

The thumbs up/down rating system needs help. I just tried to give it a thumbs down after attempting to play the game and giving my review and it refused to let me vote thumbs down. When I clicked thumbs up, it suddenly worked. Hmmm, makes you wonder about that rating, doesn't it?

I think this game could be a lot of fun, but it seems to have a few bugs that really need to be worked out. I like the different tile-sets you can choose from and the overall look of the game. However, I was able to start playing and won the first set but the game stopped responding and had to close in the middle of the second set. :( I have to agree that the scrolling needs to be addressed as it is difficult and confusing to use as it is. I don't like the fact that the computer draws your tiles for you instead of you choosing your own from the draw pile. In Hoyle Boardgames, you choose your own tiles from the draw pile. Overall, an okay game, but I'm not sure I will be keeping this one. Thanks anyway.

Thanks GOTD and Merscom for such great game giveaway,

At first the mirror link is not 'working' then I tried few times, finally manage to download it.

After activated and played for few hours trying different game modes. I have to say that this is by far the best Buku games I download. Though the background photos take up lots of mb. But I enjoy it while playing different stages. Graphics are great and sound is ok. The losing 'mocking' sound is so funny that it 'inspired' me to try again when I lost to my 'opponent'. I am able to challenge more than 1 computer 'player' so is interesting. I am so addicted and miss my lunch. Ha.. This is definitely a 'Keeper' for those like this kind of game.

Have a great day everyone. :)

Shame, although it gives an option for threes and fives, it doesn't play the traditional threes and fives rules, but some sort of hybrid. I played competitive dominos for years and living in a country where it's not played I thought this game would give me some practice. Unfortunately not.

Downloaded, installed and activated without a problem (XPsp2). I have never played dominos before but because this was from Merscom I decided to give it a try. Tutorial was a little difficult to follow as my vision does not allow view of full screen, so by the time I read the prompt, the picture had already changed to the next display, but I'll get it as I go along(Clicking to advance each step is much easier to follow.). The variety of skins and bone sets allows for great variety and finding suitable contrast and visibility for those of us with low vision. I also like that you can choose screen size and drag screen to see all of the bone layout before each move. Music wasn't great but it can be turned off. Overall, this looks like another winner from Merscom and GOTD! Thanks!!

I had no trouble with the mirror link, it was the main link that fails for me most of the time (error 404). This was another one. Just a switch to the mirror and I got it in a few seconds. I did not find the game slow. If the music is tiresome, do what I do - turn it off and just play with the sound effects. It's far better than the other domino games I have. I have only tried the basic game so far but I think I'm going to have some fun exploring the other options!

I have been trying for the past hour to download & Install this. Details of Problems on my XP Home Edition SP2 OS...

1. It downloaded on my first attempt from Mirror #1(I then extracted read me and setup from zip and saved on my comp) but when I started setup process, I recieved a message stating 'unable to activate, the activation site is not responding or your firewall needs to be set up(firewall settings are same they have always been when have DL'd GOTD items in the past).

2. I thought it might be a corrupted download so I deleted and attempted to downloaded it from 'Wikifortio' but the message I recieved was 'File was removed....File 862366 is not found on any wikifortio server'

3. I attempted to DL from Mirror #1 again but now the link is Timing Out(I have 5Mbs cable connection and all other internet items work fine).

I sure would like to play this very cool Merscom game offering you guys setup for us, so hope the details above help you in getting the issue resolved.

Hello again! ;)

I've just received an email, requesting that I post my reviews earlier in the day. I thought I'd better explain a couple of things:

BladedThoth and I do not receive any advance downloads of the software to test;

I spend almost four hours per day thoroughly testing everything in various software that I'm given for paid reviews;

And I spend around three hours per day reviewing software for GotD. Since there isn't usually any time limit on my paid reviews, I do review software from GotD first.

If I could post my reviews earlier I would, but as it is I download the product around 7am my time and begin working.

Just as an FYI., Aimersoft contacted me this week, wanting a review of their DVD ripper, which I intend to post some time on the weekend.

Good news travels fast! ;)
