I’m not questioning that physical, mental, and emotional energies exist or fluctuate. My point is that they’re far more subtle and complex than something you could reduce to fixed mathematical waves starting at birth.
We don’t even have instruments sensitive enough to even partially comprehend them. Human functioning shifts with sleep, stress, health, context, relationships, and countless other factors — so treating it as three preset cycles feels overly simplistic rather than genuinely explanatory.

Waaaay older than AI. Ask your grandparents! It was a fad long ago, but based loosely on real science. Or possibly actual Chinese scientific medicine. You have cycles of higher or lower health in various aspects of your physical life, and people would plot their answers somehow and get advice on when you should go out and strive, or whether today you shouldn't bother. Now I forget if it was useful. Im gonna try it out

Coop, I doubt that this comes from scientific medicine, but I would agree that it is actually Chinese pseudo-scientific medicine :) LOL.

Hey there,

What are biorhythms?
I’ve never heard of this before—are they some kind of AI thing?

It's an astrology adjacent idea that your energies, divided into 3 categories, mental, physical, and... something else, ebb and flow in a regular frequency and can be charted from the day you're born. So you can look up any period, like today, and using your date of birth, you can track where your energy levels are at that moment.

There are online pages you can go to look them up, it doesn't really require a special program, unless you're really into it. Plus the frequencies cycle over a period of several weeks, so you don't necessarily need to check it daily.

I've followed mine for a while, long ago. It's about as accurate as astrology is. Meaning- you can read into it whatever you like.

Thom, definitely NOT an AI thing! I don't think I've heard anyone mention "biorhythms" since the 1970's.

Thom, I remember reading a book about biorhythms in the '60's; so not an AI thing. A short explanation is at

Thom,
... in this age of readily available information, a quick Google search would help you.

Thom, we first were offered this on October 1. 2008. That was well before the current AI hype/.

Thom, Goggle is your friend. I just got educated on it too and it is interesting.

Thom,

After posting my comment I did some web searching and it seems they are sort of like astrology so probably as accurate as AI.

Gerry_detroit, thank you!
If it’s from the 1960s, I bet it’s pretty outdated.

RWW, yeah, comparing it to astrology makes more sense.

As for AI, it can generate extremely accurate output, but that accuracy really depends on the questions it’s asked and the context it’s given — it’s not inherently predictive without thoughtful input.
