I wrote many (few hundred) text files in which I referred to someone by a certain nickname. Later I want to change that nick name to the person's full name in the few hundred text files.
This is one example of how this software can be useful.
However - as with any mass action software - beware of mistakes or screw ups.
Test it out on a few say 3, files first.
Make sure you don't accidentally apply it to files elsewhere on the PC, that you did not intend to [search & replace ]

Read this page and your site. I don't find: Other than 'batching'. does this programme offer functionality over & above that of MS Word? (asking since Word saves in multi-formats too.) As well, what are the limitations of this ver of Batch Word Replace Professional 5.6? Is this a lifetime offer? Full functionality?, or a limited version compared to a "buy me" upgrade? Thank you for your time and this offer.

Alberta Fine, The license is good for 1000 days, after that the software stops to work. There is nothing this software can do that a regular word processor can do, except for batching processing, which is rarely needed, if ever. Searching for fraises in a word processor can be a tricky business, sometimes an extra comma or dot can throw the whole replacement in a disarray or replace something that was not intended to do.
