I tried the simple Basic text replacement on plain text files (*.php) by adding a folder on the left. On the right, I added the Search for text and the Replace text. Since I had a backup copy of the source files, I used the same folder to write the changes.

After the process ran, the results dialog indicated that the change was not successful, and to view the log for more details, however, there is no indication of how to view the log. I went over the icons at the top and noticed one is to save the log. After saving the log file, I could open it to see the contents.
The log showed:
Action was not performed. (No document was loaded!) (no changes)
I do not see how to "load" the documents other than add them on the left, the same way as the demo video shows.

I looked at the source folder. The source files showed zero bytes for the size, but the program did create a .bak file for each.

I also tried the "Insert text" but the log file reported:
Action was skipped because it is a condition, and conditional processing is not available in this edition of the product. Please upgrade to Complete Edition to enable support for conditions. (no changes)

We do not have the full version apparently. Several of the hover-tips also imply that the program must be upgraded to use some features.

The About dialog shows:
Version 5.6.0.8
License is activated. Expires in 1,098 days.

The About dialog also shows the option to Upgrade to Complete Edition.

So, what do we have actually? Is this a three-year licensed non-fully-functional Trial?

It looks like a good idea but bad implementation.

I originally gave this software a thumbs down as it was not installing. I then re-read the Readme file and realized that my Avast antivirus software was blocking the install without any sort of notification. Once I disabled Avast the install went smoothly.

I was hesitant to install this software with all the negative comments, but it turns out that it *easy to use and seems to work pretty well. I did a quick test by replacing some of the words in the included Readme file and was able to quickly replace words with words of my choice. (It's late and I'm tired so that's pretty much all I experimented with tonight.)

*Note: Just hover your mouse over the various icons and commands and a text box will pop up explaining what that item is along with simple instructions.

The software will also allow you to add, replace, or delete phrases, sentences, formatting, etc. And gives you lots of conditions you can apply to fine tune the changes.

I doubt if I am going to use this software often, but if I run into cases where I need to make multiple changes to one or more documents I can see where this will definitely come in handy. (Too bad this doesn't work Excel as I would be using it every day.)

As already mentioned the GUI is not intuitive. But at this moment I have no time to explore the program trying to understand how it works. Maybe this weekend.
But aside of that, what surprised me in first place was the shortcut icon. It is BLACK!! Then, it seems to me that the designers never saw the now very popular Dark Mode. In short black on black = black. And there is no alternative in the shortcut properties except just a second black icon as replacement. Wow! Come on boys be creative.

I read the description of this software and wondered if it is something I could make use of and decided to install and give it a test drive. The program did everything it claimed to do but it was difficult to navigate and errors were made, but that's how you learn. After a few botched attempts, I did get it to do what I wanted and it did the task very well but although the GUI is nice, there is quite a steep learning curve involved. Decided not to keep as I rarely have use for software such as this and don't have the time to learn all the quirks of the program. That said, for anyone who handles large amounts of documents everyday learning to use this software could prove to be of benefit. Thank you.

This program has BAD UI design.
1) installs itself in an unknown location, without asking for install location.
2) after 'successful' install, there is no shortcut on desktop or anywhere
3) can not find it in installed apps - because it installed in some unusual location
4) when it opened automatically the first time, there is no usual 'exit' or 'close' program button. entire UI is from another planet!

Can not find the short cut or the program even after 'successful install'!

shaker,
I hope this can help you with any future programs that install like this program.

I have had situations like this before where there does not seem to be a Start Menu shortcut, and the program is not installed in the Program Files or Program Files (x86) directories. When it does run, as you said, "when it opened automatically the first time" there should be an icon displayed in the taskbar. Right-click it and "Pin it" to the Taskbar. Now, at least you have a way to start it again. Also, you can right-click on the taskbar icon, then in the small menu that comes up, right-click on the entry for the program, and choose Properties. Now, you can find where it is installed. Once you know where it is installed and have navigated to the directory it is installed in, you can create your own desktop icon with another right-click. If you decide that the program is one that you will use often, you can keep the taskbar icon, or remove it if it is not needed. You can also make your own Start Menu shortcut if you like that method of starting programs better.

Of course, if the first run has already exited, you will need to do a search to see if you can find it. At worse case, reinstall the program to get it started, and then Pin-it to the Start Menu. Best of luck to you.

Ignore my comment below as I am an idiot. After re-reading the Readme file (see below) I realized that I had Avast Antivirus running which was blocking the install even though no pop-ups occurred. Once I disabled Avast antivirus the install went as normal.

IMPORTANT: please note that due to the Themida wrapper usage your installation might be blocked by your antivirus (AVG, Avast or Kaspersky)!

This will result in no program installed on your PC even if your antivirus reports no files are blocked.
In order to install the software, you'll have to temporally disable your antivirus.

I downloaded the source of Windows 10, use this software replaced all "Windows" with "Mac", and regenerated a Windows image file, it's only 695MB! I can burn it on a CD now!

This could be keeper. But it might be that it take three years to learn how to use. ;-)

But I somehow like to GUI, there are lots of tooltips on other tips (I watched video their homepage) that helps you understand what you are/think doing ;-) Sadly cannot find any conversation about this program... I usually do not download programs that are difficult to find in various forms, some discussions, reviews, etc.

This kind of software is nice to have, when you have some information, say address, phone number or so, on multiple files, and you like change it easily without opening files at all. Some years ago I buy some other program to do this kind of batch work in minutes that would take hours or days to make manually. So I have already something like this, but this looks much better and looks guided better, but I do not have time to learn it. But I think someone should try this, if you for example have tons of html-files to change some little thing or so. :-)

Edit thousands of Word documents, PDFs, and text files: Who will have fun with it? You need more than 1000 years to edit all the files that you have.
