This program was very difficult to install then it consistently locked-up two of my systems. Even after four uninstall, reinstall attempts. I even downloaded the trial version from their site with the same results.

Best refine this with your own R&D, don’t take the MS course and have your customers do it for you, you’ve not been around long enough to get away with that…

I wanted this to work, but it has LOTS of bugs - I'm running win7-64 - I'm on a laptop, and when connected to the built in camera it only shows a black screen...it's only when I switch to an external usb camera does it display a picture. -- Plus, it only works with 2 or 3 sites like yahoo,skype etc...it does not work with most streaming web cam sites (if you know what I mean..wink wink say no more).

Installed and registered program on my Windows XP machine. Receive an error when launching program, "vcs.core.error.damaged".

Reinstalled program to see if that might fix the problem. No such luck.

Uninstalling program now since it won't work on my computer. I was really anxious to try it too. :(

How long will it take to download a reasonable amount of add-on faces, voices, backgrounds etc. Wow!!! Ad-Infitum.... what a very tedious task this will turn out to be. It would be much easier and quicker if they were all archived into zip archives ready to download instead of downloading each individual item.
Please do something about this as I won't be the only one that finds this an extremely laborious task.

I don't know what to say about everybody else's troubles with this program, it works fine for me, but it really doesn't actually have any real uses (that I can see) except to troll. Not only that, the add-ons on the website are completely useless, that is all the free ones. Since the paid "nickfaces" are of half naked men and women, one can tell what this program was made for.

RIPOFF! It does not state in the description that you must have a "sense of humor" to use this program, and it is not included in the download. Like most of the commenters here, I refuse to get a sense of humor.

I have read all the issues people are having with this software and it seems very off putting. Reviews of the product on other sites have been better, so I will try it anyway.
For those of you who do not have a high level of computer skills, it is a gamble sometimes installing software. Some installers are messy and need manual cleaning others are malicious and are deliberately difficult to remove.
I would recommend Advanced uninstaller (now freeware) or similar product that has a monitored installation setting, allowing you to snapshot the system before installation and revert back if there is a problem. Similar to system restore but more convenient and reliable in my opinion.

I am not sure what Giovanni would say but I do know that you can get a couple of similar software's for free that will do some of the things this one does & with much less of hassle.

The First one I know of and have used for a few years myself. I like it and found it very simple to use. I have been using it for the better part of 8 years now. I have always known it as Splitcam. The only link I can find is for this shareware program at

The other program I know of is Manycams. While I have not used this one myself it does works along the same principle as Splitcam. I know some people that use Manycams and they prefer it over Splitcam.

It comes down to personnel preference & as far as I know they are both freeware programs.

I think both of those programs are better choices than today's AV Webcam Morpher. I will be skipping this program today because of all the previous negative reviews.

There are just far to many Negative posts about its many problems. posts that have effectively warned me that it is very buggy software and not ready just yet for general use.

Perhaps once the makers of AV WebCam Morpher have fixed the bugs and release it again with better results and better reviews then I may try it. Until then I will keep using splitcam for free.

Why pay for something when that program doesn't work very good? I sure wouldn't not want to not when I can get something else that does practically the exact same job, when is always update-able and it is always available for free.

Thank you for this program today GAOTD sadly it just is not quiet ready for most of us to use perhaps once the developers fix it it will be worth trying until then. Please keep up the great work of bringing us so many wonderful programs to try for free.

I have the program with the same name except "Pro", build 2.0.41 of 2010 by Avnex Ltd. Works excellent way.
I am confused if todays GAOTD is from the same developer.
If the same, it is a sad story to see their good reputation suffers due to buggy new version.

What #14 may be thinking about are trademark violations. Once the movie studios hear that this company is using the likeness of jack Sparrow and other characters, the software company can expect a cease and desist letter from the studios' lawyers.

All in all, this sounds like the most amateurish attempt at creating software that I've heard of.

GOTD, this application is fun and easy to use, but they are ripping everyone off saying you get the Pro version because the authorization pop up window never pops up. Also, the GOTD window never leaves the task bar on activation so there's never a screen telling one that the software is activated to the Pro version. I tried twice to install this software, once with my firewall on, and once without my firewall off, the same outcome of the GOTD icon not popping up was encountered.

The application states in an included .pdf that a new popup will open, it does not open, I do not know if this is the result of the GOTD icon not opening or what. But, I doubt anyone is getting the pro version, I got the FREE version becaus the popup displayed in the .pdf would not pop up.

#17 - Place a small piece of electrical tape over your webcam. It's nearly invisible (get a color to match your computer - try a hardware store for a variety of choices) and easily removable without damaging the webcam. Well well i thought this was something that was going to produce a bit of fun between me and my mates but unfortunately i spent more time trying to sort it than actually using it. I think from now on i will draw a little picture and place it in front of my webcam and attempt to put on a funny voice. I think that this will produce a little bit of laughter with the idiots i hang out with lol.

I tried the free version of this product. I could never get it to work in yahoo messenger. I would always get an error message " camera already in use". If someone knows how to get it to work in Yahoo Messenger please post it. To me the program is a waist.

@john: Bring up Taskmanager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and kill Software Informer Activator from there. Then remove the program through the Control Panel or use the excellent Revo Uninstaller.

Downloaded and installed fine on Win 8. That was the best part. The program did not work. I double checked my camera and it was working fine. I made sure the same camera "HP 101" was selected. When I chose another camera I got colored bars. I only have one camera so I don't know what that second camera represents. I'll wait to hear if everyone else is having problems with this one before I uninstall it. Sounded like it may be interesting to use but would never pay a cent for this. Sixty Dollars, are they kidding?

Installed, registered and program works itself, but I have problem use new virtual webcam in skype. I only see message that the device is already in use.

#4 check to,see what antivirus program you are running. AVnex sounds like an antivirus program like avg or something.

Is this a grooming tool?

Just what is AVNEX software? When I went to install this, I got a message telling me I need to close AVNEX software first before installing this. Yet I've never heard of AVNEX software before, there's nothing named AVNEX in task manager running processes, and I don't know how I'm supposed to close something that apparently doesn't even exist on my computer.

Yeah because the one thing I want to see is youtube videos of 12 year olds claiming they have skyped with Brad Pitt or something. I usually like the giveaways on here but this one is more of a tool to troll others rather than something actually that I can make a use of. Their mp3 player morpher doesn't sound so bad though.
