Okay, so when I installed, everything seemed fine. I opened it and looked it over before retiring for the night.
Today, however, it is not fine! It won't open because updatemgr.dll can't be found!

Days after this giveaway AV Music Morpher 4.0 was offered, I STILL NEVER HAVE RECEIVED SERIAL to register it, nor have I received any response my email to the developer about its forms erroneously claiming two identical (copied & pasted) copies of my email address didn't match each other! Thus, I was never able to install the app due to the failure of their registration process

As an experimental musician I love software like this!

Ran a few of my tracks through it and liked what I heard when I applied Some of the cool effects from the list!
A thumbs up from me :)

David Wellman's instructions in #59 worked for me. Thanks for sharing the installation info on how to get the full, registered version. I'd like to have the version that can remove voices completely for making instrumental versions.

Guess this Giveaway was only good for 23-hours. Just downloaded and tried to install as suggested in the numerous helpful posts, but the link to the ssoftware provider site is no longer up...it redirects from http://www.audio4fun.com/gotd/giveawayoftheday-musicmorpher.php to http://mp3-player.audio4fun.com/audio-converter.htm where there is no reg. form. The GAOTD key wrapper verified the download as being within the timeframe, but the Audio4fun folks must have had enough freeloading ;) Guess I'll have to be quicker next time.

Can anyone help quickly before time runs out? Whenever I try to go to the link to get the information to register, it automatically reroutes me to another page (http://mp3-player.audio4fun.com/audio-converter.htm). I've tried it with Firefox, Internet Explorer, and also in AOL. I don't see a page with anything other than a choice to purchase the software.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

It is rather tiresome to hear GOTD visitors continually gripe about a program not running in Windows 7 64-bit. When you purchased the computer with that configuration you knew or should have known that few programs are available that configuration. With relatively few people using Windows 7 64-bit processors to developers would choose to update their programs do that configuration first and other configurations later. The same is true for Vista 64-bit.

With multicore processors being purchased on new computers at a far greater rate than 64-bit machines and Windows XP still being the predominant operating system, developers are certainly going to address the larger market before accommotating fringe markets.

I was looking for a program like this, but the design could be more user friendly. Like add text to those small icons so I quickly know what they do. Got an error message about codecs for my CinePlayer.
Hope that didn't get screwed up. Any video tutorials that work?

Installed and works fine on my system: XP sp3, integral Realtek Audio.
Many different effects - have tried only a few. When installing first go to readme file and get the web page. Enter your info and then an activation code will appear. Then do the installation. When asked for name and email and activation code get it from the web page (exactly as it appears). Had no problem with my AV.

I LUVs this site. I like learning about different programs, even if I do not use them. Keeps me informed of what's out there. I downloaded this program since I have the Video Morpher (Avnex Ltd). Downloaded, unzipped, read the "Read Me" file, went to the site got the registration/SN info, installed/registered and all went okay. What a fun program! I took my BloodMoon remix and added some different effects (LOL)- what a scream. Oh what fun I'm going to have. If this is helpful, computer info: Intel Quad Core Q9400, Win Xp Pro SP3, with Norton (scan was good). No Dealio toolbar download found. Nice appearance and pretty easy to use. Nice job Avnex Ltd and GAOTD. This is a keeper and let the fun begin. Have a nice day everyone and good luck to all to resolve their download/installation problems.

I am running Win 7 (64-bit) on a Dell Studio XPS 16. I followed the directions in the readme file. The program installed with no problems. I then ran it. I opened an mp3 and tried some effects. It ran fine. I then closed the program with no problems. I will have to play with it a bit but as I do A/V for church events I should find some use from this.

Easy install on Win7. Cool (& funny) morph effects. Software is easy to use although some of the buttons (ie Play & Pause) are easy to overlook. This definitely deserves more thumbs-up ratings than it's gotten.

this might apply had AV Video Morpher 3. from same company on giveaway 5 2 2010

After some further investigation – it appears that the developer has removed the option to install the dealio toolbar for the GOTD install of AV Video Morpher.

While it is impossible to install Dealio by running the Setup – some dealio files are still copied into the program folder. While Dealio has not been installed – the files to perform the dealio install are copied with the rest of the AV Video Morpher.

This in itself isn’t an issue, but some AntiVirus programs might recognise the dealio setups and want to quarantine or delete the files. To delete these files yourself, they are located in the folder:

C:\Program Files\AV Video Morpher\

The files are:

DealioKit1-stub-0.exe
DealioToolbar-stub-1.exe
dealio_install02.bmp

Two problems:
When I installed this program, I put everything inside the fields, but I did not check the box "trial". Do I have to check it? I think not, because it´s not a trial program. Then I finished the installation and a message told me that I need net.framework. Funny, because I have indeed the last version of net.framework installed! So, what to do? Maybe I have to check the box "trial"??? Please help.

XP3 here.

Having read all of the problems (Very Mixed) I just had to try getting it to run on my machine which trips up and locks up for the slightest reason.

When installing, the Registration part was already prefilled with some detail (I.e. MY Email Addy) you need to delete this and paste the details that appear on the web page when you register (Doubt if it needs your real Email addy at all).

Be very careful, when pasting, NOT to include ANY spaces (try all of the entries and see if there are spaces to delete at the beginning of the line)

Then it should register OK.

Had a couple of error messages but it still seems to work OK.

Depending on your Anti Virus I suspect some of you might be better off shutting that down for the install and be aware that this program, once installed, does call home (Your AV might block that).

Great deal of fun so worth the effort. I have just morphed one track into another, joined two tracks. Had one track on one channel and a diff one on the other. Heard a REALLY HUGE number of different effects and with the music editor, you can see what is going on in real time (Has zoom function).

Once loaded note the different applications included in the center at the bottom of the screen in VERY small writing.

Also includes a fairly good but basic CD/DVD label print designer.

If you are between 10 and 80 and have time on your hands, then you have just discovered a new hobby.

Thanks to GAOTD and all concerned with making this available.

I've been associated with AVnex for many years; their programs are very powerful, not all that intuitive, and feature rich once you "get" how they work. At least go visit their site and check out their offers; their software is cutting edge, updated frequently, give great service, have loads of tutorials, and most of their programs have no competition; they are really great industry leaders - keep in mind when you read my comments above that I have been associated with them for a long time and so take it with a grain of salt, and be your own judge; they are well worth a review.

Running Win7 x64 on a modest laptop. I got some kind of crash on first start-up, but the program ran fine and the crash did not repeat again. It's a fun little program that might even have some practical application in music production and even video (sound effects). It's worth a look if you are into sound bending or just want to have some fun.

Installed (run as 'administrator) and registered fine (got registration info before installing and entered it into the license area of the installation screen) on Win 7 x64. At the same time I created a portable version using ThinApp.

The full system installation starts up great. There's almost no waiting for the application to load. I have a fairly new, fast PC. Perhaps those who find the loading very slow are using older PCs? Audio editing is a complex task. By nature it demands as fast a computer as you can give it with maximum resources available. You are best to close all other windows and stop as many unneccessary background tasks in your taskbar as possible.

A cursory trial of the software indicates no issues.

The portable version I created runs properly; again without runtime issues. However, it is very slow to start up and I suspect will not run fast enough to be of general use. Nevertheless, this was only an experiment and reflects nothing on the developer.

I will get to play with this software more today and will post again if any issues are found.

Thank you GAOTD and AVnex for the opportunity to see what this software can do. I have a full MIDI music studio and it will be interesting to see if I can use this effectively to create custom audio clips to add into projects.

Hi, to those who like myself have Windows 7-

1. Install the program then add a shortcut to your desktop.
2. Right click on the icon and choose Properties
3. Click on the Compatibility tab
4. From the drop down box under "Compatibility Mode" choose "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and then choose Windows XP SP2.

Et voila, the program should run. This is a little known yet invaluable trick to run programs for which the software has not been updated to the latest operating systems - it "tricks" the computer into thinking it's an older version and as such programs which are not yet brought out for your real operating system run without problem.

For me proper procedure appears to be:

1. follow the link provided in read me file
2. fill out the form of the link
3. keep window open of browser open/close readme.txt
4. start the program setup.exe
5. cut and paste info from open browser window into proper boxes
6. finish setup.exe
7. start program

I wish someone woulda said something about the readme file having the needed link as the readme shortness appeared to be the standard generic form. The link was somewhat hidden and unexpected and commenters didn't help make the process any easier

To those having trouble getting it registered, I had the same problem. If you install it as trial mode, it asks for an activation code which it does not give you. Here's how to make it work: BEFORE installing the program, go to the website that is in the readme.txt file and get the registration information (name, email address, serial). Enter that information when prompted during the install.

For those who have problems with sound issues, try running the program in a virtual machine. I ran it in VMWare and I had not trouble at all. Virtual machines use virtual sound cards that are not dependent on hardware.

Other than it being an old piece of software (version 5 is now out http://mp3-player.audio4fun.com/mp3-music-editor.htm)and not removing vocals (which v5 does), it is a snazzy little app.

Vocals can be removed with their free Karaoke Maker (http://dvd-player.audio4fun.com/video-karaoke-maker.htm), but you have to accept the Dealio toolbar (no thanks).

The problems you may be facing with running the program after installation is probably due to the fact that your anti virus and/or other security has prevented it from altering some system files including the registry.

The registration form is right below the 50% offer even in Firefox. I am using Firefix and had no problem at all, just scroll down the page a bit.

There is NO toolbar included in the installation as mentioned by #8 PhsycroniX.

Btw, Avira and maybe some other antivrus tools flag the Updatemgr.dll as virus which I am sure is a false positive. Anyone having problems with not finding dlls see if your virusscanner might have disabled it.
I have included the dll in Avira's not-to-check exception list.

Wow! I LOVE this program! Installed and registered fine on Win XP Sp3 and runs like a charm. It has a neat and nice GUI and lots of functions, tons of effects. For anyone who loves to work with sound files, its a real fun to play with. Though the GUI needs getting used to at first. On the bottom in the middle is a small list with program options "Morpher, Advanced Morpher, Editor, Burner, Grabber, etc. which is small enough not to see right in the beginning that its a clickable list to select the desired function /window. Could be a bit bigger and clearer.
Also, if Morpher is selected, you can only chose from the single effects while special effects etc. are greyed out. To use those, Advanced Morpher must be selected.
Besides applying effects for background, voice etc., files can also be converted. An audio grabber for CD is included, even a cover designer and finally a burning function, so one only needs one program running.

The only thing that is a bit unconvenient is, if you open a music file say in the Morpher window and wish to go to Advanced Morpher mode to apply special effects, you have to open the file again, since it does not get turned over to other windows but only appears in that mode where it was first opened.

Other than that - a wonderful piece of software and a keeper. Both thumbs up and thank you to GAOTD and AVnex!

I am apparently the exact target audience for this program -- I'm a songwriter hobbyist and have wanted to do some stuff with my songs just like this describes to create demo CDs. I was VERY excited to read the description and decided if the program was good, I'd pay the $30 for it.

But so far no one has successfully installed it and also been happy with it. Plus I have Vista HP 64, and it looks like that won't work. What a shame. I really wanted this proggy! But at this point I see no reason to try it.
