When i need to cut and trim an mp3 file i use MP3DirectCut because there is no decoding/encoding, so no quality loss. And it is free.

It may be free but it is a terrible program. Never seen so much stuttering while trying to use this software.

I had to disable smart firewall and auto-protect on Norton, in order to install the program.

I have tried to open an audio book so that I can split the single file into several smaller ones. The program just sits there and does NOTHING.

I have tried on two different audio books. One is 386,389KB and the other is 196,128KB.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

CD, Same thing with me. Installed OK but simply won't work. Uninstalled it and will continue to use NCH Wavepad Sound Editor which does everything and more that this one does and is free for non commercial use.

Very limited options under tools (split, trim and join) most annoying is the flicker time line bar, it flickers non stop as the red vertical bar moves forward.
Uninstalled, thanks for letting us try it.

MIke, I apologize. I thought you meant the lifetime license shown as an offer by the promotional giveaway lifetime license. The lifetime license you have won is for one PC forever with no free updates.
