To all those who cannot activate: after you install and start the program you need to register to your ASHAMPOO account ( if you do not have it simply create it ) After that , instead of selecting "buy" or "register" you should choose "EXTENT THE TRIAL PERIOD" (or something like that). After you do so you will see pop up window that the activation was successfully done. GOOD LUCK.
Program works really well. It is a pity however that there is no option to select the whole folder where the damager pictures are located. You need to recover picture by picture which is much more time consuming. Anyway, better this than nothing. I was able to open broken picture files where any other program managed. The pictures are not 100% OK but at least I can open them. Congratulations to ASHAMPOO team. Well done.

I'm impressed. No problems downloading and registering. When I ran the program on a very old 1 GB SD card, it took about 8 minutes to recover 444 photos. Only glitch - I could not find the files on my hard drive, in the Ashampoo directory..... so I configured the program to store them in my own chosen directory. I did try the same using a recovery program from another company, and that took under 3 minutes, and recovered only 145 files. The winner is...... :-)

I already have version 1.0.5 installed from April 2017. This is the same version and no changes have been made since then?

Unable to register. Unable to get the license key.

Downloaded, install goes ahead fine, then opens a browser window and that's it.
There is no 'pop up' from where to request the registration key, where to put your details in, as the Readme file indicates (I already have an Ashampoo account btw).

I tried reinstalling 3 times, each time setting up a different default browser to see if that was the issue and I got the same result in the end: it opens up Ashampoo's main webpage after installation.

Running the program does not open up a pop-up either.

Can someone provide some assistance with this?

Unable to activate. I am using my email to get the downlink. The popup box does not pop up. I can not get the activation code. When I click on the program it states that my trial period has expired. When I click on activate and enter my email and password, it states that no key is found.

Will not activate. Says can't find licence key in account. So much for easy install.

During installation, don't ask me for log in or create new account.

When start with the program then it's say "expired" and buy with discount hmm... what is wrong?

I have downloaded and installed the software. I have also created the account on Ashampoo website.
When I try to start the software for the first time, it shows licence expired and asks me to activate the software. When I try to sign in with the account, It says no licence linked to this account.
How do I activate the software, please help.
