Ashampoo Photo Optimizer 9 is an older release (current is Ver 11), which is not at all surprising - and seems quite fair, particularly as there does not appear to have been a Ver 10, which makes 9 only 1 release "old."
The more frequent "Free" versions of Photo Optimizer that I have seen carry Year identifications, such Photo Optimizer 22 or Photo Opt 25. Those versions have very limited features, and I have found their worth to be roughly equivalent to their cost (Zero...) - although, to be fair, I own a couple of paid photo apps, so someone who does not have an alternative might find value.
Photo Opt 9 (or 11), on the other hand, promises a much broader range of adjustments, at least per the Manual.
Therefore My Opinion is that this (Ver 9) is a worthy download, and I would encourage anyone who wishes to try it to ALSO download the Manual from Ashampoo. I have not had time to play with Ver 9 yet to see where it falls in the spectrum of "Easy to Use" - - - - "Effective Results" - but it at least holds more promise than other versions I have looked at, and Thanks are due to Giveawayoftheday for offering this.

1857, is older than 1957 (numerically).
But 1957 was got in Year 2022 and we are in Year 2025 when 1957 1s being given out!
So, which one is the Old Version?

Downloaded this I installed it on Win 11 activated it successfully but when opening the program I get an error message saying this A windows component caused an error. Please contact our support team.

Hans Oellers, i'd try and install them side by side in different folders just in case this newer one lacks some feature or in some way does not do what the previous one did.
