I'm having trouble with viewing/selecting/sorting pics within folders. It appears that the sort-by-filename feature only works within files of the same date. It would be nice if there was a way to sort pics by filename without regard for date Also, the "filter filename" function changes what it does if you hesitate for more than a couple of seconds between letters and then the next letter automatically selects (with a check mark) the first file that begins with that letter (Ex: I start typing "g" and without hitting enter, it brings up all the files that start with g; then I hesitate for couple of seconds and type "a" because I want to find all files with "galadriel" - now the cursor is no longer in the file filter box, and the first file that starts with the letter A is now selected with a check mark). This is confusing and frustrating. Lastly, I'd like to see an option to show each filename below the picture in the mosaic mode, vs. having to wave the arrow over each file individually (also, depending on the picture, the filename is difficult to read). All that being said, this looks like a very powerful piece of software. Thanks!

I had this about six years ago from GAOD but then, much to my annoyance, lost it when I had to reinstall Windows. Great to see it on offer again and, yes, it's not the latest version but it is free and certainly does everything that I, and probably most others, need.

It was very easy and quick to download and set up and I think the array of features is excellent. I also find it quick and easy to use and, IMO, it seems very intuitive, unlike some other photo editing programs that I've tried.

We recently found a bunch of slides my dad had taken over the years that we did not know about. Dad died in 1990. Also in the box were some old black and white negatives in very poor condition, curled and wound up tightly. They would not fit in my scanner so I just put them on a light panel and photographed them and then converted them from negative to positive. The results were okay, but not great. I have been running them through the optimization function of Commander 15 and I am absolutely amazed at how well it takes a rather murkey photo and turns it into something I can share with my brothers and sister. For this reason alone I highly recommend this program. I have not tried the other functions yet, too busy running a hundred b&w snapshots thru, but my bet is it will amaze me too,. Registration was easy, done within seconds and runs very well. The browser is really good too. This is a keeper

antonio, Try going to the ashampoo website - ashampoo dot com - and try to log in with your username and password there (from the upper right). If it is recognized, go to "My Account" on the website and see if the program and license key is listed there, and copy the license key from the website to enter in the program. If it is not recognized on the website, make an account on the website. Close the Photo Commander program, restart it, and enter the username and password as it is stored on the ashampoo website. This program is great and very worth any trouble getting it registered. But it should register easily.

Will this work with Win 11? I've been putting off upgrading, but I'll have to do that in the near future.
