Ashampoo Burning Studio 2026 provides a comprehensive solution for burning CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays. I don't burn discs very much anymore, but Ashampoo's free version has been my favorite burning software for years. It runs like Nero did like 20 years ago, before it became bloated. Actually, I think Ashampoo is now better than Nero ever was. This newer version looks nice and has some new features. Glad to see it on GOTD.

I installed it as directed (I think) and it gave a screen icon but it will not open. Clicking on the icon, or in the Windows menu, does nothing? Any ideas? I have a previous version of this and I have a bunch of Ashampoo programs and hey generally work well.

One system requirement you forgot to mention... AN OPTICAL DRIVE with write capability.. As far as I remember about this program it does not include the facility to author Video CD or Video-DVDs or author video-blu-rays but just enables you to put data onto the discs just like you can with windows anyway!

Yes, not everyone wants the lower fidelity streaming of our music! Hard to beat HDTracks download and burn onto CD for pure audio bliss.

Gaz, Yep, there is still a use for CDs and DVDs. You can still purchase this media. Software companies are still producing and updating burning software as well. I have an older car that has a hard drive to store music. I still need CDs to upload music.

Gaz, they are handy for using in cars older than say 10 years old either as mp3 CDs or audio-CDs just because you do or don't do something does not make the around 8 billion other people on this planet the same as you or me!

Gaz, people who depend upon USB-stick or other solid-state drives for backup/archives are gonna be crying while we who burned CDs/DVDs will be smiling with out secure data. I bought my backstock on clearance/rebates, paying very little for relatively PERMANENT storage.

No one can take your CD music away from you . It is called physical media. But if you listen online, or worse yet, pay for it, it can be taken away from you.
