without an account one can only get links for previews and none of the playlists or preview songs I've tried have parsed so far and the quality is very poor even to my damaged hearing since apple use quite low bitrate AAC encoding and no matter what you re-encode that to it's gonna be worse than it started as and that was dire enough! Tried it in Vista and Win10 and neither parsed logged out URLs.

TK, Despite not being able to activate the giveaway license I found the parsing can take a long time under Win10, it does not parse under Vista. But if you choose output format of AUTO it does not use FFMPEG.EXE to convert the downloaded file but leaves it in the native format and does not truncate the audio to 59 seconds because the program's unregistered, the full track length is exported and the formats written so far are mostly .webm and one .m4a file. It figures out the full track file rather than just the preview. It is also faster in AUTO output format as no extra re-encoding takes place on each track.

Note while system requirements list XP and Vista and the main program does indeed run under Vista at least FFMPEG.EXE included in the installation is built for Windows 7 and above ONLY. So any operation that requires re-encoding with FFMPEG.EXE will fail under Vista and XP. One will have to replace the incompatible build of FFMPEG.EXE with an alternative version that is compatible with the host version of Windows.

Installed; went to run/download album/song; slow nothing happened.

Works on some playlists but on others it skips many tracks when running and I can't find info on how to fix this. On other playlists it won't load the list (did this on all playlists that had various artists). Still worth it for a free download.

The app cleared a Windows Defender virus scan, and I ran it sandboxed via Sandboxie. The app ran fine, the license key worked, and the app actually succeeded in downloading albums at the resolution and file format I set. So at the very least, its downloading capability is legit.
It also correctly sorted the downloads via an ARTIST/ALBUM/TRACK_NUMBER TRACK_TITLE directory layout, and correctly applied all the song metadata! Couldn't possibly have been handled better in that regard, so well done to the dev there.
Download speeds were a bit slow, and downloads didn't work over VPN, but at least you don't need to log into an Apple account and the speeds were still far faster than how long it would take through 'fake' downloads (via stream recording methods, which some downloader apps resort to).
